I’ll tell you a little more about this procedure because I really didn’t hit everything in the video. I tend to  leave out important details.
A heart defect known as WPW is actually some thing a person is born with, I didn’t notice it until I was 16. When I was about 20 I met up with another person who had it and she told me how to make it stop and return to a regular heartbeat by taking a deep breath taking in as much air as you could and hold your breath until it stopped beating fast in a few seconds. Wow! Such a relief! That worked for about 20 years. Then, when I could no longer take a deep enough breath.  I did some research and found out that drinking hot tea in a certain way of swallowing would sort of “shock“ the system back into the normal rhythm. And again that worked for many many years. It wasn’t nearly as convenient because I had to go find a place where I could get hot tea if I was out and it sometimes took more than one cup.  The episodes have been increasing over the years and it was getting downright annoying now that I was 73 and wasn’t always comfortable drinking multiple cups of tea (ha ha) and it didn’t always work so I would have to wait a couple hours before I could drink more tea. So I finally decided to see a cardiologist. Well, that is a STORY in itself. I’ll tell you about that another time, but long story short,(too late)  I had two options: take medicine for the rest of my life and have the occasional episode or fix it with a cardiac ablation, then it’s gone forever so I chose the latter. It was as easy as pie absolutely zero pain other than it was a pain to get there at 5:30 in the morning! And it was a pain to lay on my back for five hours afterwards with my sciatica protesting. But now I am recovering from the procedure and taking it easy and being pampered by my kids like crazy! And that’s how I started the month of November!
