Ironically, Call of Juarez 1 did have a button to quote the bible. Seriously. You equip it and babble verses from it, while shooting men in the face with the other hand.

It's hilarious to think that this is the only time Yahtzee has ever celebrated a milestone, despite the fact that I'm pretty sure he's getting close to 500 videos by now. And this is the only time we've ever heard the full version of the theme song. I love it, largely because the montage of one strategically-selected frame from every video he'd done up to this point wonderfully illustrates the delightful out-of-context randomness of Yahtzee's personal universe.

I like that in Call of Juarez: Gunslinger you don't have to be fair in the duels anymore, you can literally just pull out your gun and shoot them at any time
Yeah, there was a duel in the first game that pissed me off for that. "Oh, you can't draw first! That's cheating! Fail!" But... BUT THERE'S TWO OF THEM!

10 years later I still drop by this video because of the full theme song, and the "This may surprise you, but..."-line
I like to think that all of these animations happened to Yahtzee in real life and that the montage at the end was the single greatest experience ever undertaken by the human mind.

From the start of these videos, I could never tell if the Imps are supposed to be good, evil, or just Yahtzee's assistants, but hell, they are hilarious.

I actually only played Ray on my first (and so far only) playthrough, he just seemed like a more interesting character and I am a sucker for dual wielding any kind of gun. Being able to drop 10 guys in less than 2 seconds is also nice.
Ah, if only they knew. We've largely forgotten about Call of Juarez in favor of Red Dead Redemption's massive profile.

That wasn't really a jumpscare it was just a really annoying sound with the image of a butt with eyes.
I liked his video for the theme song. It's pretty kickass
It's fine if you don't like the showdown minigame because you have to anticipate the bell, but keep in mind that that's kinda what you're supposed to do in a western showdown.
You don't just sit around twiddling your thumbs while the clock ticks, and react whenever you hear the bell, because you'll be too slow. It's actually kinda like being in a band; you don't sit around waiting for your part to come up, and THEN react and start playing, because you'll be lagging behind and ruining the song.
I watched this right after the little big planet review. The music made me stay to the very end, again. Another sleepless night it seems..

I understand in the original Call of Juarez, you play as a gun-toting priest who can duel-wield the Bible and a revolver at the same time, making your enemies hesitate by shouting Bible verses at them.

The picturres at the theme genuinley made me laugh.
I think what he was saying was that Ray was just a generic shooter character, while Thomas had a lot of abilities that made him unique and more fun to play as, and i agree. I had a lot of fun playing as Thomas than i did as Ray

Been binging on your stuff ......great content but you owe a lot to that theme song. It’s probably the best intro I’ve ever heard. It never annoys me. The edit is perfect......the tune is badass. I absolutely love this game. One of my favorite shooters cause the characters are so well done, shooting is very fun and the story is very fun to follow. and i guess i was the only one who enjoyed the duels

I always chose Ray because I like the voice actor, he takes more damage (Crucial on the hardest difficulty) and he was just as accurate. Thomas mainly allowed you to use the bow and arrow and throwing knives, items I didn't dick around with when in gunfights.

I think it was the Soul Calibre IV game, he was talking about how you can design your own character but can only use established fighting styles, meaning you're essentially re-skinning an existing character.
