  • Here I fit a very trick Cane Creek Angleset Headset to the bike pre-UKGE local Enduro race. Check in, as I talk you through why you would fit one, the pros and cons of one & how to fit one. No rehearsed bullshit, this is litterally taking it out of the box, unseen, then fitting it.
    For more info on this angleset, check out- www.canecreek.com/product/angl...

    Good tutorial with good explanations. You reckon Orange will do a Stage Mk 2 for the 19 models ?

      Pinned TV have you had issues with the rear tyre rubbing on the seatube ? Ive just looked at mine and big rubs ....not impressed especially as only ridden about 7 times .

    • @daveandmerlin
      @daveandmerlin Před 6 lety

      Pinned TV 30percent mate ....to be fair regardless of sag on bottom out it shouldn't hit the seatube ? Wicked fun bike but a little suprised to see that

      daveandmerlin yeh I agree, I'm guessing as they are hamdade and all are slightly different (Invis pull their hair out about that!) Them maybe that could be the issue? What tyre you running on the back?

    My 2016 Scott Genius 740 was built with a 67.9deg lo/68.4deg hi head tube angle as stock. I've just learned about angled head sets which can alter the head tube angle by up to 1.5deg+-. Question: Is there a limit of how much slacker I can go and will it adversely impact my bike's build integrity? Also would my bike accept an angled head set replacing the stock one?

    i notice you have a slammed stem already, by putting the angleset on did it decrease the height of steerer tube? i am looking to do the same but i don't have much steerer tube sticking out.

    • @PinnedTV
      @PinnedTV  Před 6 lety

      sam loder yes it did, fortunately I had some spacer room to play with. If you run out of room, get one of the DMR STEMS

    If the bearings sit so loosely in the cups, meaning they could move slightly under load, does it make creaking noises?

    Just got a new bike last week, has a 66 degree head angle and does feel OK, after just a few rides, but did toy with reducing a degree.... Thing is I would be worried about making the cockpit too short... What would a taking -1 degree out shorter the tube tube by roughly? Thanks if any idea.

      dannyfag1 hardly makes any difference, maybe 2-3mm. You could counter that by rolling bars forwards very slightly
