I am 67yrs old. I saw Nkrumah as a P3 pupil at Akim Odumase when He was passing our school. We held Our flags to welcome or say bye to him. It was a brief happening and we went back to our classroom . Anyone who attended Akim Odumase Anglican Primary School in the years 1962, 63, 64, and 65 may remember this event. Nkrumah was a Great Man. Russians, Ukrainians , Americans, British adore their past leaders. So why should this daft idiot try to belittle our own who even outsiders adore?

And this NAPO Boy was a few years ago Education and later Energy Minister.. How? Free education in Ghana was first introduced by Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah in 1960. The Volta dam with almost 1000 Megawatt Power supply was built by kwame Nkrumah and commissioned in Jan 1966 a month before the Infamous coup. The Tema harbour and dry docks was completed in 1962 as well Townships and Industrial zones to compliment it. I will not mention schoöls, universities, hospitals, factories and infrastructures because the list is endless. Now for the sake of argument just take out the Volta dam and Tema harbour, if you will the universities and Ghana's economy will collapse. This NAPO guy has no iota of idea about the Anatomy of Ghana. When PM kwame Nkrumah took over the country there was not a single factory in Ghana, he had to start from scratch. Never try to compare any African dead or alive to Nkrumah. Akufo Addo to Nkrumah is no match. That's a political suicide. Nkrumah dwarfs the dwarf times without Numbers. I rest my case.

Hon. Anokye Frimpong, Esq., makes some excellent submissions. However, on the issue of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah not having any classmates from England, and being opposed to Freemansonry (5:18 - 6:00) is not entirely accurate. For Dr. Kwame Nkrumah lived in England and attended the University of London - London School of Economics (LSE) as a Ph.D student. He attended lectures at University College, London (U.C.L) and the School for African and Oriental Studies (S.O.A.S) amongst others, due to the inter-collegiate system of the University of London. Dr. Kwame Nkrumah was also a thirty-second (32nd) degree Freemason. This is just for the purposes of accuracy for the historical records.

@@nanakwametakyi4021 the import and reference of lawyer Anokye's statement was in relation to the leaders of the UGCC... He meant to say that Nkrumah did not have the same experience (posture) and also colleagues as the leaders of UGCC had. By the time Nkrumah went to UK he had his mind set differently based on the unique experiences he had in the states...
Lawyer is basically saying Nkrumah had no peers on the gold coast upon his return to join the UGCC (his reference may not be a lack of knowledge that Nkrumah indeed learned in UK). But that he was peerless vis-a-vis the leadership of the gold coast at the time.

@@amoahfrank5162 I understand your point. I however, beg to differ. For I believe Nkrumah was more experienced in terms of his connection with the ordinary man and woman than the leaders of the U.G.C.C. I also think the "class" that Lawyer Anokye was referring to has to do with "social class" and not with school or experience. For most the leaders of the U.G.C.C though being merchants, lawyers, chiefs etc, could not relate to the people like Dr. Nkrumah did. For Dr. Nkrumah was an organizer at the grassroots - having been the Vice-President of the West African Student Union (W.A.S.U) in London, England and his involvement in the convocation of the Pan-African Congress etc. I believe his experience with ordinary people was the main reason he was invited to be the Organizer in the U.G.C.C.
