a bit underwhelming, it's not a constant pulse, and a bit underpowered
I hate that they nerfed them to fit the multiplayer meta (that I don't play anyway)
In my opinion, it is still decent as a long range weapon against big targets (bombers and low armor ships). It is also very good for cleaning the airspace in some missions like Farbanti where the targets aren’t directly facing you. In MP, with proper aim, it is the best long range weapon, if you are skilled enough you can’t miss and take down one aircraft per shot. It, however, is almost useless in any furball unless you are on your targets tail.
Overall, it is sort of good, but only in certain occasions. It is not broken, but not bad either. With training, it can reach very good potential.
Anyways that said *PLEASE DONT NERF MPBM*

It deals constant damage, also, I should bring up the Falken TLS has more damage ticks than other aircraft.
I don't wanna call them lazy because I know jack shit about programing other than it can be really hard at times, but they could have made the TLS in single player and multiplayer two separate weapons that look identical but the one in single player be kept as super powerful and the one in multiplayer as the nerfed one. As it is, its not awful but not great either.
I fly all planes with TLS using parts for increased power and hit-zone. And what I found was though the hit count per burst is lower for the Falken, it still does considerably more damage than even the Raven's TLS while using power and hit-zone parts on it as well.
This is one of the many reasons why I love Ace Combat! Experimental aircraft at its finest!
I remember how awesome it was to get the ADF-01 FALKEN on AC5, getting 4 of them for the price of 826,000 a piece was B@$%# to get, and how the TLS was a quick one hit kill on any target the laser touch.
Can't wait for ADFX-01 Morgan with that Multipurpose Air Burst Missile and use it on a few levels, one of them from Long Day, that oil field before the sand storm, the Arsenal Bird, and my favorite... The Fleet Destruction!!!!!!

I wonder why they couldn't make the single player falken tls as powerful as it was, but nerf it for the multiplayer. As we've seen that is possible since there's a mod that alters the tls damage and doesn't work in mp

Do you understand how code works lol? if than statements to adjust which stat set it pulls from for different game modes is very simple to set up, that kind of coding is the easy part of making a game, not what takes all the time. They legitimately don't care about having it be different for the single player experience and just set it to what they thought was balanced for MP.

What happened to the good old times when aircrafts could fire 2-4-6 regular missiles depanding on which aircraft it is (how much developed it is) plus some special weapons that can be mounted to that aircrafts... And the "reload" time of missiles and or machine guns would depend on which kind of weapons they are exactly... (Like in AC3)

As all TLS have similar power and recharge while firing, and we know that the Morgan’s TLS is weaker and can’t do that recharge (at least what acepedia says), they could change the Morgan’s TLS into being EVEN WEAKER, however, have aiming capabilities like the Adfx02. That would be interesting and would take the Zoisite’s past into consideration.
It's strange how switching weapons doesn't cut the TLS off like it did in 5 and Z. But then again 7 itself is strange compared to the others.
It's feedback for multiplayer. Because while it sucks the ADF and laser were nerfed, Namco is still a business that needs to make money, so they did this to make multiplayer fairer.
Too bad it did nothing except replace the laser with the rail gun as the "Apex Meta".

No it's not as nut considering this FALKEN is less mobile and slower than X-02S, its TLS is just the underpowered version of the one in AC5. Giving it different laser colour and sound effect doesn't make up for its shortcoming.

I would like the tls better if in this game if it didn't have multiple one time use charges like it is now but instead some like a pack of 1000 shots that they used up everytime you fire so you can have better control and not just wait a whole charge. I think that would make it better since the tls is weaker now.

The TLS feels rather underpowered, sure, it was nescesary for multiplayer, althought i wish that it could be at least more effectived againts ground targets, so it could be more usefull.
Well TLS on the Raven does well in ground attack missions like Stonehenge and Cape Rainy

The sound effects of the air craft is okay, but honestly the ace combat 5 Falken sounds alot better then this.
Don’t you think these DLC planes should cost in game money too? Can’t new players just buy the season pass and ruin the story mode for themselves?

If i pay actual money for something in any game if possibke i don't want it sitting behind any additional grind or whatever. Immediate access to stuff you actually paid for is the best way to do it. Exception to content that is designed and intended to have a grind or whatever built into it and isn't just slapped on just to keep it away from the people who buy it

I prefer the Raven to the Falken. Raven looks more beautiful and badass. Also don't really like the FAEB. All flash but too slow and there isn't many situations in single player to use it. And no, I won't use it for pipeline. I use SU planes while I'm in Spare Squad.
Why not try it in Stone Heng. you dont really need good missiles to win that one

Is it me, or lasers can't go through clouds?
nope. clouds are made of water vapor which disrupts the nicely focused laser beam. A laser would have to be incredibly powerful to penetrate clouds and still have enough energy to destroy a target. you would need a couple of nuclear reactors to power such a laser.

I'm guessing you don't play the single player that often? Some of those attack runs looked a bit...sloppy. Attacking allies, overshooting targets because you're always on the throttle, etc.
Then again, I've played through the campaign +20 times so I've memorized enemy and ally locations
To be honest, the TLS isn't that good of a weapon. The Pulse Lasers on the Su-37 are far better.
