  • BIRCH TREE POPYPORE MUSHROOM DUAL EXTRACTION TINCTURE ‪@lulishomestead6767‬ video is describing a simple method of double extraction tincture making. When using dry herbs or mushrooms I use 1:5 ratio (1 part dry herb by weight to 5 parts liquid by volume). Because I used hot water decoction extraction, I used a two step method with clean hot (very slow simmering) water over 24 hours and high proof alcohol as the second step (6-8 weeks). I used the equal amounts of water and alcohol for this tincture.
This home remedy will be good to have on hand just in case.

@Luli's Homestead : Luli, you titled the video, "Birch tree popypore ...", but you say "polypore" plenty of times in the video. So, I checked at Wikipedia and it doesn't have a page for popypore but searching that that provided a link for polypore. I do not know if people who publish videos at CZcams can later correct the titles they used, but if this can be done without a problem, then maybe you could take a few minutes to correct the title for this video.

Hi, I have a question. You used 45g of mushroom and 450 ml of liquid (water+alcohol). Is this 1:5 ratio?

It's a not "edible " mushroom. It's a bitter mushroom and used medicinally.
