âAnd thatâs why ohtani will be the 2023 MVP on the Mets and the World Series MVP and the Triple Crown hitter and pitcher winnerâ
Donât forget Cy Young, silver slugger, and gold glove too
ALCS MVP
And the first non-rookie rookie of the year.
I think Cohen will anything to get Ohtani.. he looks like a Mets
đ€Ł
And this is why Dominic Smith for Shohei Ohtani straight up would be the best possible trade
Dom was non-tendered, he's a free agent...
@@michaelbaucom4019 it was a joke bro
@@joeyaltmann7874 a really bad one...
You could have picked one of the 40 other rostered players if you wanted a more effective joke.
Shohei Ohtani for Tatis Jr. is crazy, but sometimes crazy works
Tatis has a no-trade clause through 2028.
Would not make sense at all. Tatis is as well a generational player and more team stability than Ohtani obviously. He is staying in SD for life and nothing makes him move. Itâs 12 years of an elite hitter or 1 year of an elite player đ
Because of the no-trade clause, can only happen if Tatis agrees. But he had burned a few bridges in the last year, so he may want a fresh start.
Ohtani for that clown? Really
just considering the bats Ohtani is better. On that you have an ace with perfect work ethic. Tatis is worth half an Ohtani
Love the content mark easily the best CZcamsr
it's gonna be the Giants or the Dodgers imo. if SF misses out on Judge, that probably motivates them even more to get it done, but either way i think those 2 are the clear front-runners because they have the minor league talent and are both in positions where they want to win-now. plus Shohei has sort of indicated that he'd prefer to be on the West Coast because it's closer to Japan (hence ruling out Boston & the NY teams)
Giants are years away from competing. Plus, their farm talent in Ramos and Bart have underwhelmed to say the least. The Angels would want Kyle Harrison and Logan Webb at the very least. Not worth it. In baseball, one player doesn't propel a team to the playoffs.
Years away from competing!?đđđđđ stop that. The Giants won 8 less games than the padres and they had one of the worst defensive years theyâve had. If they get judge, Turner/Dansby and others they easily become a more competitive team. Theyâre going to surprise a lot of people again this next season
@@vargi_2454 yeah 100p, they're rly not far off. they already got some underrated guys like Yaz, Joc, Thairo, Doval, and obviously Webb... put them with a legit star or 2 and i bet they make a wild card push
@@homelessjesse9453 Harrison, aegrega, brown, McCray, Luciano, Schmidt power hitting gold glover, whisehunt, Patrick Bailey gold glover, villar, hunter bishop, waites.
@@vargi_2454 right if we had the bullpen staff we had in September in April we would have made the playoffs
Like ur vids bro keep it up đȘđŒ
The Mets should do this. Instantly, the Mets would be competing for all those revenue $ in NY.
that's what all the GMs in MLB are saying
Tatis for Ohtani is nuts but I can see it. As a Padres fan, we still love Tatis but this trade would bring Ohtani and free up a good amount of money to sign Ohtani long term. Just not the Dodgers
I donât think they will trade for him, but i can really see him going to Seattle. Seattle obviously has a huge Japanese fanbase and even if they arenât one of the major markets, heâd be a star. Can you imagine Ohtani and Ichiro content all year long. Two of the greatest Japanese players of all time. Iâd actually love that as a baseball fan
I get the vibe Ohtani has zero interest in playing for the Mariners
Blazing your own trail is big thing for Shohei. May not want to follow in someone elseâs footsteps.
Angels and Mariners are rivals. Angels wonât trade this type of player to their rival there actually competing against.
I think the Mariners will get Masatasha Yoshida
If Ohtani wants to win, he's not going to Seattle
It's starting to seem like the Dodgers are preparing to go all in on Ohtani in the following year. They're clearing a lot of roster/salary space, and promoting a lot of their top prospects at the same time. Also, the main reason Ohtani didn't initially sign with the Dodgers was the lack of a DH, which isn't a problem now.
The Dodgers have too much talent in the farm system to not get Ohtani. Could you let me know if there is a betting line that Ohtani goes to the Dodgers? I am almost certain it happens.
Dodgers will do whatever it takes to win the World Series next year. 2022 post season was a massive disappointment. So I think LAD will give up pieces for Shohei and I really donât think theyâll have to give up much. If the Angels arenât a contending team near the trade deadline, they know Shohei will leave Anaheim. So their FO will trade Shohei for something, they canât just let him walk for nothing. But since itâs only for half a season, whoever trades for Shohei will say âlook, you need something. Weâre not giving up our farm for half a season of Shohei, but at least youâll get something from us. Better than just letting him walk.â
And the Dodgers are in the best position to give the Angels good prospects while not wiping out their farm. And Shohei could be the missing piece that helps the Dodgers win another World Series. Plus Shohei likes SoCal so heâd definitely sign with the Dodgers for 2024.
@@Lamppostout Lay off the crack. Ohtani is an Ă ngel for life. đ & to the homeboy above your comment ~ Shohei didnât choose the Dodgers not just because of the DH , however he was just not feeling the Dodgers organization. There is articles that even Kershaw has stated Ohtani looked so uninterested in the Dodgers and Ohtani meeting that it was practically pointless to even have had it. Delusional Dodger fans ~ LA only clearing their roster because LA chokes time and time again. Nothing to do to make room for Ohtani.
You really think the Ă ngels are going to let go off the greatest player to ever bless the sport of baseball. đđđ
If they do, itâll only cost them. This is the main problem with the modern incarnation of the Dodgers. Theyâre like the Yankees and only sign a bunch of superstar talent to try and buy their way to a championship. They just happen to be more sabermetrics-adept than the Yankees, which is why no one gave them as much flack for it until now. The Dodgers donât need better players, and they certainly donât need better pitchers or hitters. What they need is better management, which they have already confirmed isnât happening in 2023. Make no mistake, the Padres will likely upset them again en route to a pennant next year; it will be at least in 2024 before they win the World Series again.
@@Gemnist98 do you not know they have the best farm system in the league?đđ try again lol u sound so goofyđ
100% correct awards 2023
American League:
MVP- Shohei Ohtani
Cy Young- Jacob DeGrom
ROTY- Joey Wentz
MOTY- Scott Servais
National League:
MVP- Mookie Betts
Cy Young- Max Fried
ROTY- Francisco Alvarez
MOTY- Bob Melvin
The Giants should absolutely be in on Ohtani, as you said lots of top end talent, but Logan Webb isn't going anywhere. Also Mets arent getting him lol
No he would only go there if they missed judge if not, the Dodgers.
I feel like Atlanta should be in the top 10 since they could build a package around Michael Harris and/or Spencer Strider
Any team acquiring Ohtani would really need to be sure they could sign him. I get the talent, but the 1 year deal has to really decrease some trade value. I can't see a package worth more than Soto brought.
I am a white sox fan, but shohei was pursued by them at the trade deadline. Maybe Hahn would do it again? I read they were close on terms including vaughn, kopech, moncada, prospects???
I actually think the Padres trade is far more likely than anyone wants to admit. Theyâre a west coast team so heâs close to Japan, they play in a pitcherâs park, which helps him at the plate because his best attribute is his power regardless of where he plays, and he would still be the headliner of a WS-caliber roster. Juan Soto is a franchise player, but Ohtani will be the guy wherever he goes because he adds the value of an elite DH with a Cy Young level pitcher for the price of one player and one roster spot. I think if they offered TatĂs and a couple of mid-level prospects, they could work out a deal. Theyâre obviously not afraid to spend money
Angels would be smart to trade Ohtani for the right price
Love how Mets fans are now and who would blame them. Cohen is the difference maker. But times in the past they would never dream of this happening. Now, you never know. Love it Marc
It's my buddy who is an Angle's fan birthday next week, please show him mercy and give him this jersey
I think the cubs could be a way more realistic option if heâs a free agent. We just donât have enough good assets to give up to get him through a trade
Sure they may be able to pull off a trade but Ohtani ainât signing a long term deal to stay in Chicago. He wants to stay on the west coast. Dodgers, Giants, Padres, Mariners - only teams I see him signing a long term deal with.
he won't be a free agent
I think the Fernando TatĂs Jr and Shohei Ohtani would be a good trade for the Angels and for the Padres
Sorry as a Padres fan that would be a horrible trade for the Padres.
Would Artie Moreno really want to trade Ohtani in market is the only question.
Soto didnât play to his capability but I still think he willâŠand with the return of Tatis JrâŠthe trio of Soto, Tatis, and Machado should be scary
Would love him as a brave
I wonder if thereâs any chance my Mâs could get him I know when he came to mlb we did try I just wonder big we could get him without kill our team and keeping JRod
Giants fan here, I would trade Webb for Ohtani. I think the problem is what else would we trade? I could see the Giants possibly trading Matos or Schmitt but I'd imagine if you are trying to build for the future you don't trade away Harrison or Luciano. The problem is Ohtani is a two way star and there are a lot of Qs as to how much do you trade for 1 player? I think the Giants could try to alleviate some of the burden of trying to grab Ohtani by eating a good chunk of the Rendon contract.
I think what will actually happen is another big upset like when Trout resigned with the Angels and Ohtani will resign with LAA. First, even though Eppler was the one who recruited Ohtani, he still met with multiple teams and he CHOSE the Angels, knowing full well how bad they were in recent years. He also chose to sign when he did which got him less money. Had he waited 2 years to play in the MLB he could have gotten a huge contract but he didn't so I don't think just because a team offers him a huge contract that it will be a major factor for him. He's gonna get paid big no matter who signs him. Also, I think people are underestimating how much close friends on a team matters. I don't just mean getting along with your teammate but having really close friends. Ohtani is super close with David Fletcher, Patrick Sandoval, and Jose Suarez. Fletcher just signed an extension and Sandoval and Suarez still have years under team control. The Angels actually being competitive this year will help A LOT, but as long as they are just not absolutely awful I think Ohtani will resign. And it will absolutely piss off every fan of baseball besides Angels fans lol.
He didn't sign with the Angels because they were good, he signed with them because they had Trout. Now every sign he's made points to him moving to a contender, which the Angels uh, are not.
@@flyingskier1913 Exactly my point. And they still have Trout. So people saying heâs going to leave for a contending team, I donât think thatâs as big of a factor or he would have signed with the Giants/Dodgers/even Mariners to begin with. The Angels have made dumb moves but you canât say they are a purposefully tanking team. And what signs has he made? Every quote about the team, and there hasnât even been that many, has been taken out of context and heâs only criticized himself. Heâs given no impression heâs decided to leave. If the Angels are actually in it (I agree, BIG if) and he has a fun year and they at least just make the playoffs, I think they donât trade him and he resigns.
Nah one of the biggest reasons ohtani chose the angels other than trout is it was the only team that would allow him to hit and pitch all the other teams were forcing him to chose one or the other
Every major league team had to follow International signing rules. Ohtani received the highest amount possible.
close friends matter ?
sure, but that won't affect his decision making AT ALL, he is not that naive
If ohtani becomes available the better get a HAUL. Itâs gonna be a rough look if they trade him at the deadline and get a so so return for him. If I were them I would do all I could to sign him throughout the early offseason and I they canât see what the best trade package they can get for him is
Guardians could trade Straw for Ohtani. Watch out for that đ
Common fuzzy L
Fuzz, I love your content but that is never happening in a million years.
If Superman Shohei was playing in the National league he could've won the MVP and the Cy Young đOhtani had better numbers then Alcantra went 14-9 2.28 ERA 207 Ks Ohtani went 15-9 2.33 ERA 219 Ks and also led the league with strikeouts per 9 innings (11.9)
This would have been interesting. Shohei had better rate stats, but 60ish less innings, and Sandy had 6 complete games. It would have been a close vote if they were in the same league but I think sandy probably would have won
Both Pitchers were NASTY, but I think Sandy was better, I agree with Ohtani winning MVP if he was in the National League over Goldie though.
this is hilarious seeing this at this point in the season. Mets, Padres and other suitors are tanking, Angels are in a playoff spot, baseball gods work in mysterious ways
If you trade Manoah and Bo their production is literally what ohtani is. It's a lateral move that costs more
Flaherty has just been hurt, yea Carlson disappointed me last year. Still young and hope he can turn it around.
Number one, Shohei to the Mets.
Number two, Shohei to the Mets, then to the Mariners for Julio, Robbie, and Luis Castillo.
And thatâs why the Mets will sign Shohei Ohtani
You left out Seattle whom I believe will be in the mix
Do you think the Angels trade Shohei Ohtani?
He will be traded to the Reds for sure
Mets
Theyâre not giving up ohtani
No Seattle Mariners on this list is crazy
As an Angels fan I kinda like the Ohtani for Tatis trade. Best case scenario, the offseason additions make LA competitive and Shohei wants to stay, but if he's leaving anyways, Tatis is the best consolation prize mentioned.
Don't sleep on Miami, if they're willing to send Sandy or Luzardo with a bevy of prospects, Angels could pick up the phone.
Toronto. They go all in at the deadline.... Orevis and Tieder + another top10 for half a season of ohtani..to pair with Alex and Gausman for october..filthy
OK this is the only issue I have I have nothing but respect for your channel keep up the good work I'm a Toronto Blue Jays fan so you said toronto would have to give up probably Bo Bichette and Alek Manaoh. 2 guys that are MLB suds. But when you refer to the New York Mets your team which I have nothing but love and respect for my aunt is a biggest Mets ever and 2 of my best friends are. But when it came to them you only mentioned the farm system Mets have a great farm system but so does Toronto. But for New York you didn't mention Pete or Jeff you only said the farm can you elaborate more
iâm sorry i could never pull myself to give up manoah and bo for ohtani
I mean technically ohtani makes up both of them combined. Had pretty much the same pitching year as manoah or better. And is definitely a better hitter then bo.
For 1 year of ohtani hell nah
As much as Iâd love to see the Yankees trade for him, I do agree that they are a very unlikely destination.
Iâve thought ohtani is someone the Yankees should have Gone all in on along time ago
I feel like the Mets and the Cubs could realistically switch places on this list
As a padres fan 99% of us DONT want Tatis leaving for any reason (unless he keeps doing boneheaded shit)
Yupp iâm one of those 99%
Padres would trade Snell, Merrill, Jake Cronenworth and another few prospects
@@arjnarersn01 why would we get rid of Crone and Snell?
@@shanestevens5352 angels want pitching and they could extend snell. I would trade Jake C for Ohtani in a heartbeat
Other problem for the Yankees is they already have the DH spot locked up for Stanton for the near future unless they make him play LF so Ohtani can DH
A future 4 round pick for Ohtani.
As a cardinal fan. I'm keep walker man. Walker is a freak, shoheis elbow has to blow up again soon lol
Hope he comes to my diamond backs
Hi Girrafeneckmarc, I just have a question. Where do you get all of the different jerseys on players? Iâve seen a lot of different content creators have this too. I was just wondering where you get those pictures. I would like to use them in some of my vids. Thanks!
If our ohtani played when babe played heâd hit 1000 homeruns with a sub 2 era
Torres could be in a trade package. As the cherry on top.
Nonstop Ohtani news, talk, speculation because he's the real, BOTTOMLINE MVP. Not even close.
@GiraffeNeckMarc let me get that Ohtani Jersey brotha
An ideal scenario for the Cubs is to sign Senga and try to lure Shohei in free agency next year. I don't like the idea of giving up the whole farm.
That won't happen
the whole farm of the Cubs won't be enough, btw Senga won't be going to the Cubs
I don't think there's a chance that they would do that trade up for tatis. Who's the better hitter is debatable, but then you also get a good pitcher. I think it would take 2 high caliber players as ohtani is basically 2 high level players already.
Angels do that in a heartbeat. 1 year of Ohtani for like 10+ of Tatis
Donât forget, the Padres will likely give away some of their pitching. And I think Preller and co. are smart enough to take advantage of the Angelsâ âbranding over winningâ approach and give up someone like Darvish while they keep Suarez and Musgrove.
As a Padres Fan, it would be very interesting to see if a Tatis/Ohtani trade would ever come in play.
Tatis for Ohtani...you think the Angels wanna trade a guy who is about to get a mega contract...for a guy that already has one?
0:07 âMLB baseballâ
And thatâs why Eduardo Escobar for Ohtani will happen this off-season
Tatis for Ohtani would be absolutely insane
Will Ohtani demand early player opt outs in any possible extension or in free agency? Like opt outs for 2025 or 26?
he should
God, Shohei on the Mets with Scherzer and Verlander would be straight NASTY.
And that is why trading Francisco Lindor for Shohei Ohtani would be a good trade 10 times in a row!
Shohei Ohtani had better numbers then Lindor and Max Sherzer combine, the Mets probrably have to give up more to get the modern day Babe Ruth
As a cardinals fan I got excited to see us on this list then he said Jordan walker and masyn Winn and I was out
I would do it for othani and trout though but thatâs way too much money for the cards plus carleson and other prospects
If Shohei doesnât want to be on a team like the angels, why would he go to the cubs đ
I feel like an Ohtani trade never will be possible i feel like he'll be a Angel for life and he'll be their franchise player but if they're is then its gonna be a west side team so either Dodgers, Padres, Giants, maybe Colorado or maybe Seattle cause i heard he would pefer to play teams in West side America so that its close to his home in Japan
I don't think the angels do much with the dodgers without Julio UrĂas going back
Goatani.
âAnd thatâs why Ohtani is a met is 2023â
maybe a little Jays Bias but i think if the jays would actually run a team with trades like that i think thye could be #3 most likely cuz a trade like Bichette, Guerrero, Manoah, Kirk, Moreno. some of those players personally i'd trade for ohtani
The Jeff McNeil disrespect is crazy he just won a batting title
I would love it if he just walked in FA. I'm a Mariners fan and I don't want all these prospects heading their way.
A team intending to extend Shohei wouldnât necessarily trade more players. Youâre trading for one year of Shohei worth $30 million. The bidding war would get out of hand though.
You are trading to propose him a contract he likes, not for one year
i can 100 percent see the padres trading tatis. they are fed up with him and that would be so intriguing for the angels
Putting him in a Cardinals jersey is a slap in the face đ
As an Angels fan, give me May, Lux, Pages, and Miller along with 2-3 more dudes and Iâd be estatic
I love Shohei as much as the next guy, but as a Red Sox fan I would not be happy giving up Devers (assuming they extend him), Casas, Mayer and Mata for him. Devers is a monster and he's still very young. He'll be able to play till he's 40 with the kind of bat he has, even if he has to DH for the last decade. Casas is the 1B of the future which doesn't sound like much, until you remember the junk the Sox have been putting out there for a while. Mayer is just a stud and I dont want to move him under any circumstance. As for Mata, have him lol I assume the Angels would want Bello anyways, and I like him a lot, so no đ WITH ALL THAT BEING SAID I would still be jumping for joy if the Sox got Ohtani, it just not a trade I would make.
I hope the angels sign shohei to a mike trout contract (probably canât afford it tho)
2:54 hey thats my last name
Tatis for Ohtani would be a solid trade. That would put Padres in place of signing either Ohtani or Soto long term.
Clint Frazier and Miguel Andujar for Shohei
Shoehi will go to the mets but I think the Fernando trade is good
For the Tatis-Shohei, you need to add one more prospect maybe along with Tatis.
that or SD will have to send some money to Angels way or even some money plus a prospect or two
I like this the more I think about it.
No way in hell Perry Minasian doing a 1-for-1 with SD.
Shohei for Tatis , Soto , & Darvish & we got ourselves a deal.
Padres aren't getting rid of their best player with a No Trade clause for one year of Ohtani
God how I wish my Braves would trade for Ohtani đ«
Iâm an angels fan- I think the angels will keep him. Angels World Series champs 2023!!!
Steve Cohen should just come out and be like âim giving him 60 mill a year in free agency, so nobody else waste your timeâ
To be honest, I am not at all sure about the Cardinals getting Shohei.
Sure, he's a generational talent, but I wouldn't let the Angels touch Jordan Walker and Masyn Winn with a 10 FT POLE if I was Mozeliak.
how do u not inclue the guardians
Cardinals would be a dream. My gosh look at that lineup. Please no cubs. Idk I love our prospects rn
I understand the mariners are not top 3, but they are definitely a top 10 team to trade for shohei. Young Major league pitching talent everywhere. George Kirby Emerson Hancock and Logan Gilbert. Even Marco Gonzalez or Chris flexen as throw ins. harry ford and Gabriel Gonzalez as the young prospects. they could easily trade for ohtani.
Ohtani to the Marlins
It makes sense on the padres they need a ace
Braves: Vaughn Grissom, Mike Soroka, Kyle Wright, Justyn-Henry Malloy
Angels: Shohei Ohtani, David Fletcher
Donât think thatâs enough
Omani shore be a cub
âAnd thatâs why the Mets will trade Brandon Nimmo to the angels for Shohei Ohtaniâ
I don't think the Cardinals would make this trade. Like you said you only get him for this year. Cardinals spend money but not big big money and they already have a lot tied in with Arenado and Goldschmidt but I guess crazier things have happened
I think there's too much hype around Jordon Walker for this trade to happen. That and cards fans haven't forgotten about randy arozarena.
@@AlexMathiesen or the giants with Zach wheeler and Luis Castillo
The real question is does he fit the cardinal way
I don't think there will ever be another Shohei Ohtani unless they come from over seas or south America
why not from Carib islands like DR?
I would trade Goldy and Arenado to get Shohei, Iâd throw in Tommy Edman as well. Time for our youth to play, and having Shohei puts us over the top. Of course predicated on him signing for at least 8 years.
