its a sad day when Scammell lost their identity, name one part of that vehicle which they made?its basicly a leyland 6x4 assembled at the Scammell wks ,Watford.

It`s a Scammell design , yes the cab is Leyland but the rest is pure Scammell ,, Name me a Leyland that has a 400 Cummins with Ecosplit gearbox and WSK torque converter ?

You are wrong regarding the S26,s box, it is fact a ZF Transmatic, a clever combination of a 16 ZF Ecosplit with the early 'slap across' range change like a DAF 2800 ,and a WSK torque converter with a small clutch used to change gear as all torque is taken up by the fluid coupling.@@scammellman831
