- If you fail to destroy the space colony with the shuttle, or time runs out, then you go straight to the bad ending. It's all RNG sadly regarding if the shuttle destroys the space colony. You’ll lose Zero and instead have to fight Awakened Zero.

In my head cannon, the true ending is a mix of both endings because I really like awaken zero and Willy implications but with X remembering and keeping Z-saber
Even though this is the bad ending, it's the only route where the fight between X and Zero doesn't seem pointless

This fight you have to settle down in 2 minutes or Zero will use Genmu Zero to kill you instantly.

Yep that is Gamma’s body from Mega Man 3 for Sigma 2nd. Gamma Sigma.
I seriously wish their encounter here was canon. Imagine this end up uncovering buried history from the classic era and revealing Wily's digital data presence. Even X could tell that something more sinister than Sigma lie within Zero at that point. It could've even introduced another big baddie than just Sigma to defeat. Which it sucks that Wily hasnt been hinted at after X6.
