This is absolutely beautiful. Also, it's not like she did T Paine auto tune. There is very little added and you'd be surprised by how many of your favorite songs have some auto tune added. Her voice fits this song perfectly.

Good job, Teairra! 👍👏. She did an excellent job. Not many people do a Janet Jackson cover so shout out to Teairra Mari for actually having the balls to do a whole Janet song. Many artist have sampled her beats(Plies used this beat for Bust It Baby with Neyo)but how many artist can you name that actually were brave enough to re do a whole Janet joint? It definetly has a today feel to it with the beat and all. I feel like Come Back To Me and Again are Janet's best ballads ever.

I think some people think that because Janet has a softer and less agressive voice that anyone can sing her songs. There is obviously a lot more uniqueness to Ms. Jackson's voice that meets the ear..

I think it is beautiful. Not all covers/remakes are going to sound like the original. The original is the original for a reason. It's a JANET JACKSON , JIMMY JAM , TERRY LEWIS song so ofc it's not going to sound like that and the reason .. it's not supposed to. My beloved idol , Whitney Houston always song covers of songs and made em her own. They deff didn't sound 100% like the original singer sung em. It's OKAY. Obv she is a fan , pretty voice and wanted to add her Teairra Mari touch on it. I'm sure if Janet heard it she'd be flattered and blushing with humbleness. Y'all so damn mean sometimes lol. @janetman1 u are so right, Jan sings in every part of her voice head, chest, etc from backgrounds to lead vocals. She has a unique identifiable sound and none on this planet sounds like a Jackson. Her styles of singing isn't for everyone but she does have vocal talent. How much is up to the listener.

I am a HUGE janet fan....and I actually like this. Does it compare to the original at all?!? Not really...but what music today really does compares to music the time this song was made. This was produced by JIMMY JAM and Terry Lewis...some of the best producers to date. So the new producers could not craft a work of art like that....but this song is ok for the modern day.

I think this rendition is cool, but i feel about this the way i do about people covering HateU by Mariah Carey. TM covered this in full singing voice, Janet did the soft, relaxed soubrette thing. It works better for this kinda song. I love the music on this version, but u guys should you tube Janet singing this same song live from the Rhythm Nation tour...she changed the arrangement and even kicked it up a notch during the bridge #classic
@NerdifiedGirl4Life - Half of it is because she simply hasn't been offered any "hit" tracks, that and because you have other young artists (Rihanna) blowing up and becoming overhyped, while this girl WITH a voice is unnoticed.

While you appreciate their company, nothing compares to your first experience in that place. It's safe to say for everyone who loves this song - that it has sentimental value. I'm thankful that it's not that a totally wasteful and disrespectful interpretation like what plies did and think she sung it well, but because of the example given ear

@giuseppe - again, look at my comment. I'll venture that when this song first debuted and was popular on billboard you weren't a fan or it didn't have any sort of sentimental value to you. To those that the song had meaning, there is no way that this cover - though nice - holds a candle to Janet's. If this is a song that tearrie covered off "one of janet's albums" then it's likely you'll like this one better. It all depends mate.

Here's my problem with this remake: there is NO dynamic range whatsoever in the instruments or the voice. In the original, you hear the strings reach a higher octave and even Janet's voice get's a little higher as the song goes on. The dynamic range is flat on this and the beat is too fast, and there's NO FEELING. Also, thanks to an idiotic law called compulsory license law, singers can remake songs without permission-Prince was talking about it on Lopez Tonight.
