I guess there will always be that lingering thought that everyone that first looks at him immediately thinks Harry Potter but to me on the other hand see him as Wallace from What If because that is the 1st movie I saw with him in it and the 2nd movie I saw him in was Horns before I ever watched Harry Potter so when I see Radcliffe I think Wallace then Devil Incarnate then Swiss Man then Harry Potter as a sort of "oh yeah right he played Harry Potter" It may be a curse, it may be a blessing frankly I dont care
If you mean even though he's a good actor and worked in great films but people still see him as harry potter, sure, but if you asked him about it I don't think he would mind. His personality transcends that legacy and he's become a beloved global icon. That's what fans care about him. Kinda like keanu reeves. even though not that great at acting, he's a great human being and dedicated at his work, and that's the thing about him that we know and care about.

Okay, all Potter jokes aside, can we just...appreciate Daniel Radcliffe's acting? You can see his character teetering on the edge of madness, hidden only by a facade of joy and "genuine-ness", not sure what else to call it. When he loses it with Merrit, you can see the other side of the character slip out for just a second, it was like he changed personas for a moment. The atmosphere of the whole scene, his constant invading of their personal space and taking glee in showing them how superior he seems to be compared to The Four Horsemen...it's astounding skill.
Daniel Radcliffe is such a good actor, the only thing he suffers from is being known mostly as the harry potter character kinda like what Tobey Maguire suffered from being known as the spiderman character.
