The art scene in Prescott

This is the 75th anniversary of the founding of the Mountain Artists Guild of Prescott. The Guild is a non-profit art organization.
One of the founding members was George Phippen, namesake of The Phippen Museum of Western Art in Prescott.
The guild has a volunteer board and approximately 200 members. Its programs include veterans, youth and adult art classes for children and six "buried art" shows yearly.
They host two fine arts festivals in Prescott every year, one on Mother's Day and another on the first weekend of August.
