I was at this concert the day before this video was recorded. There were 100,000 people per show. The concert took place on the race track in Hockenheim. I sat on the wall at the finish line for around two hours waiting for friends. There was only this path and an endless line of people passing me. They started to sing the song Mexico at least for 30 times. It was an incredibly good concert and it was warm those days. You sweated out most of the beer. ;)

The concerts 2014/2015 at the Hockenheimring were awesome also the Matapaloz Festival at the Hockenheimring 2017. From the 2014 and 2015 concerts the must be clips with english subtitles, i have seen one got reacted to.
2014 at Hockenheimring... over 100.000 people
A little background info...Stefan says "everything that happend the past 9.5 years" This band never changed its lineup, always these four)
Singer Kevin Russell was a politox drug-adict for over 20 years (politox means he took ANYTHING to get high, at one point injecting Jägermeister into his body) Somehow the band kept playing and Kevin was more or less in control, however one day in 2004 the band had a promo-concert infront of the whole Virgin records directors board. Kevin was so high on drugs, he forgot lyrics, He stumbled over cables and in the middle of one song he left to have a pee and never came back.
At that point, the other 3 said, thats it, we cant do this anymore, so they split up. There was one concert in 2005 to say goodbye but they never spoke to oneother for the next 9 years. After 2005 Kevins downfall began. He got even more drug adicted (however that was possible) and caused a car crash that almost killed people. He was sentensed to jail and went into rehab, he had a brain injury and they had to remove 30% !!!! of his brain.
So long story short, one day, Stefan called the others to see how they would get along....and when they met, they noticed... nothing had changed, they had the same chemistry they still had been friends and Gonzo (guitar) said "That was the moment it klicked. It was like... shit, this could still work"
In Januar 2014 there had been a countdown on their webside.Very short, very simple "4,3,2,1 ...thunder" A few weeks later the full trailer dropped
Stefan: "What we are going to tell you, is nothing short of a sensation!"
Gonzo: "You have been waiting for this for 9.5 years"
Kevin: "We breath new life into the Onklez"
Pe (drums): "We will be on the stage together, again"
Stefan: "We play ONE concert toether"
Kevin: "Once again, we are ONE"
I remember talking about it with friends.... could this be real? Germanys most succsesful band is coming back?
They came back with a vengance! 2014 was good, but 2015 "Böhse fürs leben / bad for life" was amazing, this was the best Kevin we had seen for 20 years.
BTW you asked about how many people came...let me paraphrase a statement from the 2005 documentary, to fit 2015...
"At their first gig, a max of 20 people came ..... at Böhse fürs Leben, there had been 400.000"

The more you listen to them, the more you will love them. Noone listens to the Onkelz just for fun...once you get their messages, you will see, how deep it goes.

Nice reaction, as usual! But like others said before: it's one of the most controversial bands in Germany. Not going to judge here about their beginnings (which I definitely have issues with), we all were young and dumb at some point. But I have to admit, they've put out some really good songs after growing up which lots of people know in Germany, whether they like it or not! Keep it up mate!

The translation in the subtitles in this video is a joke... a bad joke. When Stefan said "the most important thing" the translation says "the funniest thing" which is not exactly the same if my english isn´t as bad as my english teacher always said. There are many other curious "little" mistakes that make it very hard to understand what he really says for someone who doesn´t speak german.
Looks like "ai" generated translation which doesn`t seem to be as smart as it should be for a simple german-english translation.

Ich habe einige freunde die große Onkelz fans sind und selbst sagen, dass die früheren Zeiten der Band nicht besonders glorreich waren, mit liedern wie Türken raus oder Deutschland den Deutschen. Die haben sich zwar mit der Zeit immer weiter nach links orientiert, aber dies kann auch nur zum Schein sein. Sorry aber das ist meine Meinung und dafür werde ich mich sicherlich nicht schämen
