The optimizaton is bugged, since their hitboxes are a bit on the back, they take a bit to start rendering the model on the screen.

MOST of those are issues with server running on a potato hardware and not being able to keep up. IR is VERY resource demanding server side and requires a fair amount of CPU and RAM (Especially when you have resource packs with custom models and skins) for just the basic bits to run lag/lerp free. Also the more people build on the world that adds to the resource hunger of the server.

Optifine can also cause a lot of graphic glitches with IR i have found. I stopped using it when I play with IR loaded and 90% of the glitches go away.

Well yeah. when the majority of the model assets and skins are ripped from other games like Transport Fever 1 and 2, Garry's Mod, Train simulator, etc. and ported into a game that has a hard time working with those types of models. The high poly assets makes for interesting game play. What gets me is the people ripping the models and skins just say "screw the original creators" and claim them as their own creations.. SMH. Oh wait, they change one plane or brush in blender, that makes it ok. Now there are a few add-on devs that actually create their own stuff and you can tell those by HOW they are modeled. The original created (non ripped) ones fit the literal Minecraft voxel like style.

As cool as this mod is, I think the trains are way too realistic and detailed. It'd probably be better if they tried to minecraft-ify them and make low-poly, blocky models.
