How do you think this would fit when sitting in a wheelchair? Bearing in mind I can't stand to tuck it under my bum? Would it swamp me and just be too big/awkward??
Hi Zandra, thanks for the question! How tall are you, and are you able to get someone to measure the wheel from the front to the back? I can stretch mine to see if it'll fit over you and the chair! -Erik
Just some follow-up information for you, I'm currently sitting in a very bulky office chair with bulky armrests (it's an obnoxious gaming chair that I got a few years back), and I just tried to slip into my oodie while sitting down. Here's what I found:
1) It's overly big/awkward (in my opinion) since the sweater is big by nature, it won't really be much difference. Basically you'll just have a giant pile of hoodie-blanket on you :)
2) So that it doesn't pile up between your back and the backrest, I'd suggest pulling on either side of your body to keep it taut on your back and have the excess fabric come off the sides. So you're not affecting your sitting position.
3) Due to the sitting position, I find that you'll only be able to put it just over your knees.

Thanks. I'm 5ft5 but on the chunky side. Don't think I'd want to be pulling it over the chair as I have a high chair back with handles but that's a good idea for those with low chair backs. I think you're right with a bit of shimmying around it could fit better. Or even putting on before getting in the chair maybe. I'm not on for Vlogging but would be great if someone in a similar situation as me could review the oodie.

I took the plunge and bought 1 as I saw they have a 30 day refund if I needed it. It fits fine, just requires a little tucking so it doesn't get dirtied by the wheels. And easily covers my knees.

It's warm for those really freezing nights. Saves me heaps on heating bills. Downsides: It can feel a bit claustrophobic and you can get too hot wearing it unless it's really cold. I'll be glad when summer comes so I don't have to wear any of this crap.
100% agree that it's perfect for really cold nights! It saved me during our West Coast Canadian winters haha. I saw on the site that they recently got sleep tees for the warmer nights. - Chia

Just ordered one after this review and looking forward to getting it. It will, hopefully, help to cut down on my central heating costs with the ever increasing cost of utilities
Hey Tom! Honestly it will probably depend on where you're located. If you're just looking to not turn the heat up (as much) then it might work! But I definitely wouldn't drop the heat to minimum settings in hopes of replacing it with the oodie! Just kind of think of it (literally) as a wearable blanket! Anyway, we'd love to hear what you think of it once it comes in

Oodies were very common on the mental health ward I spent Christmas on year. I had female friends with different variants all who loved just chilling on the Ward wearing. They all said how comfy they were too. They were all late 20s/mid 30s in age.

yeah i bet! i just got my 2 oodies, and i love them already. i feel like wearing one is actively helping with my whole ASD sensory overload thing. well worth the purchase, couldnt be happier tbh!
Did you put it in the washing machine inside out? Or just as it was? I’m thinking if putting mine in on a cold 20° wash on a low spin with fabric softener & detergent. Will it be Ok?
Hi Alexander! There's definitely no harm in doing that! The only thing I'd recommend is checking the fine print on the fabric softener/detergent to make sure that it's approved for wool/silk. That usually indicates that it's very mild, which is recommended for these oodies! Keep us updated on how it goes!

I just bought Kmart versions of the oodie but the arms are really short so you get tangled and the pocket is down near your shins so I’ve just pre-purchased the twin pack for myself and my partner! It ships around the28th of June and our anniversary is on the 4th of July so I’m hoping it gets here in time for me to give it to him then

So what's the verdict all these months later? Looking into getting two to survive the winter without cranking up the heat inside.
They are definitely good for that! We often use it while I'm on my PC in the colder months especially since the arm rests get pretty cold and stuff. We still love ours to death! We even wore them to our surprise couples' shower! No one expected us to walk in to a fancy party wearing them 🤣

I honestly have used it a few times where we were hanging out at a friends basement or even in the patio and we just had our oodies on!
Where did you lay it flat to dry? I want to lay it flat to dry, but I haven't figured out the best place or way to do that. :/
Hi @TheGuySensei 👋 ! We have a foldable laundry rack that makes it a lot easier to lay flat. Plus helps with space (we live in an apartment now too). At some points if I remember I kind of shake it off so that it stays fluffy but it's totally not necessary. A few weeks ago we actually did a tumble dry and it still worked out fine! Hope that helps :)

I live somewhere super hot in the summer times but it’s cold enough to turn on the heater for the winter.. I ordered one yesterday so I hope it’s okay!
We have that same situation in our city! Our summers can get very harsh, so we don't normally find a use for them during those seasons. But you'll definitely get the most of them during the colder months! Let us know how you like yours!

Normally when you order from their site, it'll say when the estimated delivery date will be! I was actually gonna order a Space Jam one for my dad, but the estimated delivery date isn't until Feb 2022. Hope you have better luck with yours!

Hi Joshua! I'm about 157cm so the regular/normal size fits great for me :) I like that there's an elastic cuff so if I need to roll up my sleeves to do something, it's not too bad. I prefer an electric blanket under the sofa throw with another throw on top of me. I've got one for my bed too. They cost 2p an hour to run & I don't need the heating on when I use them. So toasty & cosy.
Fair enough! Sounds like a good way to stay warm! Have you ever tried that under a weight blanket rather than a sofa throw?
@@lifeontheregular Sofa wise i have a heavy, furry, lined throw on top of me & a thin fleece throw on the sofa itself, so the heat comes thru nicely. And a furry lined throw over my duvet. It's going to be -10 degrees this week in the UK & fuel prices are thru the roof !

@@lifeontheregular Yes! This week, after half an hour on setting no. 3 (highest setting) it stays warm for a good 2 hours, then I drift off to sleep , listening to a horror audio book. Best £20 I ever spent on Amazon. . ðŸ˜

Hey Beth! I would highly recommend let it air-out outside! You sometimes get that same smell from mattresses and blankets! Washing it definitely gets it out! Don't forget to consult the washing instructions though! :) - Erik

Is it hot when you wear it on summer?
Hi Keion! Personally for me, I think it's too hot in the summer unless you have an AC. We experienced a heat wave this past weekend and I can't even imagine what it'd be like. Inside is a super soft sherpa fleece and the outside is a warm flannel fleece. Some people reversed it depending on how warm they want to be but we haven't tried that yet... maybe we should and report back 🤔 - Chia

I’m worried it’s going to be a sweat box, I always get sweaty in those super soft fleece pjs. But they look cozy, just not sure about wearing that material….. no one else 😅
I sweat very easily so I really only use it when it's actually really cold in the house! Some nights, I've fallen asleep in it without overheating ☺

Hi T! I'm 5'2/5'3 and Erik's 5'7ish :) It was a good fit for me but I like oversized things in general. It helps that the sleeves are cuffed so that I can roll it up and it doesn't drag. Hope that helps and thank you for watching! :) - Chia
My Mum got the green dog oodie for me for Christmas, it sat in my room as I wasn't home for Christmas, finally home now and I am loving my oodie.
Also have a Luxe which is like an oodie but not as big and the inside is soft but not as soft as an oodie.
