This scene with willow at the end was his fear that the cycle of his mom and him will be passed on to willow. And the “drugs” are anything. Everyone is addicted to something, attention, social media, actual drugs, you name it someone is addicted to that.
That makes more sense.

We all have at least one drug of choice, whether that be coffee addiction, needing that drink in the evening to relax, scrolling social media, working overtime, etc. You said the culture of pressure and expectations that our lives have to be a certain way and I think that kind of says it all.
I see this as him being stuck in a constant loop of fear. Fear of what could have been if he hadn't gotten clean, fear of what may be in Willow's future as he sort of blames his mother for his addiction and is scared he passed it on to Willow, fear for society in general as he sees everyone struggling with their own demons or......becoming zombified as they become disconnected (ironically in the most *connected* time we've ever lived in) from humanity.

His Mom was an addict and left him at a young age.
Drugs can mean anything. We are addicted to phones, shopping, alcohol, drugs, cigarettes, ect. I told you this one came with a warning lol.

I think I needed therapy sfter that one lol. My interpretation of this is he killed his old self off , he is clean now, and he woke up out of his nightmare. Does that make sense?

Not afraid to admit that the "So this is my first hello. And this is my last goodbye" makes me tear up. And to me the "Drugs" are all things that we do to escape reality. For Ronnie it was actually narcotics but we all have our "Drug" that can keep us down.
That's crazy. That line to his mom got me.

BVB is crazy good.
Ronnie is basically trying to kill his addictive self and at the end you see Willow with the glowing eyes and Ronnie basically realizes he has probably passed down that addictive gene into his daughter given that both him his mother and father were addicts. At the end of Losing my Life you see the grave of Ronnie but you can't bury your past can you? it always comes back to haunt you! Hence his resurrection. As for "Everybody is on drugs" I think it relates to we all have our addictions be it illicit drugs, pills your doctor prescribes or alcohol or Netflix or tiktok etc... we are all numbing ourselves one way or another to cope w/this human condition. We are all addicted to something to distract us from whatever issues you may have....thats how I see it🙂
Dude can tell a story! I hate that he’s leaning into these self fulfilling prophecies. Dying in 2033. Passing down addiction. Generational curses can be broken.
The sound is so consistent, because Ronnie writes all the music and even records large parts of it (he plays several instruments). You can't even always conclude who is on the recording from the video. E.g. Luke Holland plays on Losing my Life but isn't in the video. The drummer in this video is Christian Coma from Black Veil Brides, but I don't know if he's also the one on the recording.

Don't know if you noticed, but the very ending of this song just before the last chainsaw is the same music as the opening to Losing My Mind, the first song in the Trilogy. Representing, at least to me, that the life of growth is circular, a constant killing off of the old self to bring in new life. You cannot achieve greatness without this cycle.

and "The Drug is Re-imagined".
Also "I'm Not a Vampire" and "I'm Not a Vampire - ReVamped".
It'll show you how Ronnie has progressed throughout the years.

I laughed so hard for the first time on this song watching your face during the chainsaw scene 😂 I interpreted "drugs" as everything we overly consume which depending on the person could be anything. I'm not sure if his mother is dead I took it as she was dead to him but I could be completely wrong. He is without a doubt a force to be reckoned with. Great reaction. ❤

Yes it’s Corey Taylor, he did the song for free, even appeared on stage at a FIR concert to perform this song about a week ago.
I feel like the “drugs” are just any of our addictions, drugs, sugar, caffeine, sex, gambling, anything you do in excess that can screw up your life.
Also when his “mom” gets creepy face LOL, he’s not right for that one 😂😂😂

Ronnie met his mom in 2015ish, she showed up at one of his gigs and he forgave her. I don't know how much contact they have still but I think that was important to him

I agree with the recommendations of The Drug In Me Is You & Reimagined and I'm Not A Vampire & Revamped BUT I also recommend some of his not so popular stuff like Self Destruct Personality and Tragic Magic. Drugs - addictions of all kinds - any drug, any prescription, social media, political crap - like zombified..... yeah. Corey Taylor - did it for free! Had a similar history to Ronnie. Ronnie is worried that his mother's addiction and his own will continue with Willow (genetic predilection?) - so he's placing himself there to avoid it.
That's interesting.
The "sleeping" motif throughout the trilogy represents being ins a drug/alcohol induced stupor. He was/is worried that he will "awaken" from that 5, 10, 15 years in the future and will have missed Willow's childhood. The same thing that happened between him and his mom. It really is beautiful how much he actually loves his daughter and wants to keep loving her.

The drummer in this video is Christian Coma "CC" from the band black veil brides. FIR hasn't had a drummer "in the band" since 2017. There was 1 guy for like a year at the beginning of covid orherwise its been people ronnies grabs for a session or a tour that was until luke. Lukes not even considered "in the band" i think because he does so much independently of FIR but hes been with them since 2021 so to me hes in the band lol.
Great reaction though. The other reimagines would probably be my next recommendation for FIR stuff 💜💜

His mom is still alive, I believe. Hes only seen her once. She showed up out of the blue at one of his concerts and kind of demanded to see him. He took a picture with her and wrote on his IG that he chose to forgive her that day, but in his book he writes he hasnt seen her again and he doesnt really want to.
Music is definitely Ronnie's therapy. That scene hits so hard, I tear up every time I see it because my heart just breaks for him.

The guitarist in this video (and the other trilogy videos) was a good friend of Ronnie's. Its ironic that in Losing My Life his vest says "Dead" because he overdosed on drugs and died.
Like you said though, FIR is Ronnie, Ronnie is FIR. He did say recently that the band members now make it feel like an actual band. They work really well together.

Derek didn't overdose. Ronnie wrote in his book ("I Can Explain") that Derek died of a subdural hematoma.
@loryman10 I've read the book, it's really good. I thought he said it was because of drugs but he has known a few people who have died of that so I must've gotten them mixed up. Sad regardless though.
@@therealmrsog1 it is sad. Derek was the one guy who stuck with Ronnie from the beginning. He was the one who was there to pick up Ronnie when he was released from prison. I watched so many interviews, and Derek was always the one that sat there quietly, smiling, happy to be a part of something. As much as I love this current lineup in the band, Derek will always be missed.

my dad was one of the biggest d dealers in 3 counties and made me his gunman and driver at the age of 7.... by the time my two sons were 2 and 3 and i took them to see him for their first and only time to see him. he accepted seeing them but his mind was so gone from hiv and other stuff....he didint recognize me... this video is me... talking to him. i cherished my dad but omg so many people to this day see me and run.... i dont blame them... i was the brain washed kid who would klll on word..... fuck that man.... i hate him for what he made me.... but inside... he made me the most dangerous person here..... its good and bad... but at least my kids dont know who i am. but the people who think they are dangerous wont ever f with the 7 year old with a 44 mag. and no heart. im full hearted now but that still preceeds me and no one will even be near me that dont need to me... lets just say young bucks are taught about me.

This one is about addiction of all sorts, not literally drugs. Ronnie was brought up in the catholic church I think, which is not exactly a proper form of worshiping God.
