    I loved watching King Kong Bundy wrestle; he was very talented for a big man. I got to meet him after a match, and he was so gracious and kind to me and my family. What I liked about him, when he came back to our town and saw me and my family in the front row, he did not break Kayfabe, but he winked and nodded his head at us leaving the ring. Think of all the people who he comes across and the fact he remembered us, was a very nice gesture from him. BTW my family and I always wore our Bund-a-mania shirts we had a friend make for us when he wrestled in our town. He loved seeing those shirts when we first met him. RIP Chris.

      Kevin Nash is actually very entertaining. Hes got a lot of fun stories. Hes also insufferable and the more he talks about his myopic views as he does, the more you realize that he really thinks he has all the right answers. Particularly annoying is how he creates himself as some sort of good samaritan helping out the locker room.

      @@travismcdonald6576 Yeah, I was intrigued at first but Nash too often is way too casual and off-hand to the point where it doesn't come across as chatty or conversational but just kinda disinterested. And yeah, like you say, even condescending. Like, he's barely engaged with the very concept of his podcast to begin with.
      He *can* be funny and engaging though, and so I wonder if some of his laconic approach is due to the genuinely hard blows he's had to deal with recently.

She was a little younger than I was maybe a few years, n I felt this massive paw on the back of my shoulder. I turn around it was King Kong Bundy I almost shit myself as I only saw him as one of the most hated heels in wwf n he drew so much heat at the time. N it turns out he was the nicest guy u could ever meet! He was so thankful that I helped his kid n he handed me a $20 n said have fun kid as we were on the boardwalk at the jersey shore! I mean there was Andre, of course, but he didn't seem to be around nearly as much as Bundy. Andre made appearances whereas Bundy was a regular staple. The best Andre Slam I ever saw was by Kamala on regular television
    Far deeper and more clean than Hogan's laboured slam at Wrestlemania
    Not to take away from Hogan. He'd just wrestled a whole match and was in front of a bigger crowd than ever previous.
    It was iconic

    As a Masshole, I love his comments on the Garden. It was epic there. I think I attended 90% of the Garden WWF shows in the 80s. Epic.

    Probably the only reason that _WrestleMania 2_ was on a Monday was because that was the only day they could book all three arenas. That's my guess, anyway.

    King kong in a way paved the road for the heavy guy made it okay for people to not have be shredded and in his own little way I believe he paved the way for the greatest big man who was the late bam bam so many guys said in there books or in interviews said same as bret heart that bam bam was best big man ever he could move like the shredded guy most of the time he moved better

    • @Davidjon1946
      @Davidjon1946 Před 2 měsíci

      It was!! Buffalo memorial auditorium was almost the same arena as well just minus championship banners 😅
      The auditorium in Buffalo was just as ruckus you could here the body slams all the way to the last row of the upper orange seats .
      You would sit right on top of the action however just like the boston garden with the steep seating .
      Now all these arenas are built the same no character no personality.
