Great video as always. For those that don't know Fl. does not have freshwater Jacks they are Chain Pickerel.
Greatly appreciated ☑️👊
For sure. Grew up fishing in NJ and we would catch them pretty much on every trip
Norm thanks for all your info on all theses location. Very informative and great guidance. I travel a few hours to get to both of theses locations and it’s nice to have a productive location to fish. Thanks again, Gary/G-man
Happy to help.
Thanks Norm. I'm strictly catch and release with artificial bait, luckily all my fishing time is through the week to avoid a lot of the crowds. I'll look for you on the lake.
@@bassangler4856 see you on the lake 👍
Great video. I was there last week for the first time, I was even across from the pumps. Had I only known then...
Nice! The fish will be there next time ✅
Good to see you!!! Enjoyed the video. Nice catches!!
Thanks Captain Lyndia ✅👊👍🌟
Great vid, Another good bait for shallow grass instead of a chatterbait is the
Strike King Hybrid Hunter Crankbait and 6 sense make one too.
The yo-yo technique is one of the most effective ways of hitting pressured fish. Cast out, close the bail and feel for a thump. Let it hit the bottom and lift the rod and feel the vibration. Rinse and repeat🎣
Definitely an awesome technique 🔥
Looked like a fun day! Those toothy critters are chain pickerel by the way. They're fun when they eat a topwater frog.
Thanks Bobby 🔥👍👊
Norm, Awhile since your last post. Great info. Last 10 day's been to Garcia, the water temp was 59, 3 fish, 7 day's ago 67, caught 40 fish, top water, senkos, catterbaits. This Saturday, 12 bass 71 degrees, very slow presentations. Haven't caught a bass in the 13 canal,in the last 2 months, alot of flippers and crappie boats. Never fished that south canal, saw how shallow just before it, didn't want to mess the lower unit. Now , I can go on plane down there. Yes, this Saturday 40 plus boats, including a jet ski, and 2 pontoon boats. The spots you mentioned are hit very hard. I fish lures, that were great in the 90's, in these spots and do well. Thanks you, the video is great.
David, looks like you had some awesome days out there. Thanks for the post.
Norm, how far is the bridge and dam on the south canal, from Garcia, at 70 mph?
Thanks Norm!
Happy to help
Hey Norm, I really enjoy your videos on the lakes down there. I hope there is more in the future as far as location. My wife and I were in Headwaters for the last month and fished a few of your areas with great success. Especially successful off to the right of the pumping station on the east west canal. We caught between 25 to 35 bass every morning and were out of bait by 10:30. The largest was 8 lbs but caught quite a few over 5. Thank you so much for your hospitality. Jeff
Jeff, that’s great. I’m glad you and your wife caught them by the pump station. That’s a good spot.
Nice video, Norm. Definitely gotta retie after those toothy fish.
Dave, definitely lol
Thanks! Thank you so much for showing and Teaching Me and my son about Headswaters. We just Moved to Daytona beach and one day we hope to Fish there. Can we Guide fish with you or do know any body that does. Thanks again, Keith
Greatly appreciated. Happy to help. I recommend fishing guide Kenny Hass. You can find him on Facebook. He is one of the best.
Great video, You are normally in the central FL swamp kind of lakes. Do you ever fish any of the lakes in and around Orlando? I would like to see more lake breakdowns in some other areas around central Fl. Thanks.
I usually stick to the few on the East side.
Great video Norm!!
Thanks John 👊
Nice video Norm👍
Much appreciated
Norm, another great video. you missed a few good spots. lol
lol. Yes there are a lot more out there.
What kind of rod an tells do you use
I use a Lew's Tournament MP Speed Spool LFS Baitcast Reel and Lew’s 7 foot rod medium action.
Do you guide?
I don’t. Just fish for fun when I have the time.
