I love how the producers here let the queens almost put on a "show" when showcasing their looks. Rather than just walking down the runway.

Notice how separately we have Dragula because again Ru won’t cast the queens that could do something possibly shocking to the general public. They should take note from how well this show is already doing.
I love that they adjust the lighting on the runway to accommodate the outfits, especially if the queens are wearing outfits with special light effects. I am still not over the fact that they did not showcase Dusty Ray Bottoms' lighted headpiece on her Miami Summer outfit.

I think that the big difference between rpdr and drag race thailand is that most of the queens in rpdr either learn to be conceptual and tell an actual original story with their outfits, or they get sent home because they never manage to do that. however drag race thailand is mostly composed of queens who see conceptual runways as...the norm. which is why i think its so much better in terms of runway originality.
Queens in thailand are more like looks and runways. RPDR are balanced, looks, runways, personality, talent, skills, entertainment, comedy. A real drag queen doesnt based only on the looks
The fact that they turned off the lights just for the queen to show the lights of her costume makes them superior to Drag Race in the US. Ginger Minj feels robbed of an opportunity.

Really wished more of top comments were about the queens rather then being comparisons to RPDR US, Bandit looked absolutely gorgeous on this runway, Bandit, Angele and Kandy’s makeup is always amazing but I was really surprised by how good Kana was painted.
I think the inventiveness of Thailand’s queens is incredible. Yet I believe they are prioritizing the stunts and the reveals over creating a polished, complete look. We get cool, theatrical reveals, but lose the attention to detail in the fashion. And plus, how many reveals can you have until it starts getting repetitive. A good reveal should be unexpected, and if everyone is doing reveals, then what is the point? They lose their luster.

Take the judges for example: their visual looks seem to always be executed immaculately (of course they have budget, but still. I don’t think money is a factor. You can turn a good look with little money.) Now, if Thailand drag culture prioritizes the stunt aspect, then so be it. That’s cool. Now that doesn’t mean I’m gonna think all the looks are great. Sorry.
