I had a moment with a hummingbird. While hanging my hands out of a car window waiting to order fast food in the drive through a hummingbird flew up and hovered less then a foot from me. It took me a second to realize he was intrigued by my electric blue nail polish. He was honed in on it hard. So much so that when I moved my hands and he saw they were attached to me he let out a frustrated "ha-rumph" sound then proceeded with several high pitched tweets most likely cursing me out for not being a flower... He hovered like that for at least a minute maybe 2 (it was a slow ass line)....Best 2 minutes EVER!

He might have sleep apnea, especially if he's very tired during the day! My mom kept complaining about my dad's snoring (he denied it, of course) but he got a cpap machine after doing a sleep study and it really helped! No more snoring haha

He literally can't. Hummingbirds go into a state called torpor. It's kind of like hibernation, the hummingbird's metabolism slows down incredibly to conserve energy and they become basically comatose. It would be pretty hard to actually wake this little guy up.
