I purchased two sets of the boom mounts, the bar mount & sticky set as I have a suction cup already. Very impressed with the quality & opens up a massive range or different views available to me now. Brilliant video 👍
@@Rush-Media I like the outside vehicle shots low down looking at the front wheel turning & oncoming traffic & similar view at rear. I am still experimenting with where to place the camera now as it’s opened up so many options having the boom mount & suction mount etc. I do use a tether when using outside the vehicle but I have never had the seasucker mount loose suction
Excellent review, especially at 5:30 comparing the Handlebar mount grip diameter to the Boom Mount diameter... That's exactly the information I needed. Thanks!
i have a go pro boom set to use on my mountain bike. I used it on a small 10km pedal to test and I didn't feel confident in the bike's handlebar fixing system. the boom keeps going down even with a really good grip. I think if you tighten it more, it will break the boom support. I'm going to add a new stem and a second fastener to the handlebars to see if the boom holds up. so far, I don't feel confident building speed on a mountain bike without breaking the boom. I posted the test video on my channel if you want to see it.
Nice video man. For the car, I noticed you have 2 boom suction mounts. Do you feel it is necessary or will 1 suction boom mount be enough to support the GoPro? Thanks
They're metal so much stronger. I've never had an official GoPro finger mount break, but I have had a third party selfie stick break when I had the thumbscrew in without a gopro attached (it forced the three fingers closer together than they should be)
@@cherob1984 actually, now that I think about it. My case for the gopro session broke that was official from gopro, but I was closing it around a third party lens cover that I believe caused the issue. I was also using it the sea a lot, saltwater perhaps? Anyhow, the gopro boom is metal and pretty decent overall

Great to find a like-minded individual! What are your favourite angles/attachment points you've come up with so far?

Maybe you need to try a different rubber piece

Hi Again the reinforcing bit you mention to make a triangular rig is that included in 3 versions cheers
Hi does the large roll cage bar mount attach to the boom cheers
Yes, attach it with a buckle clip mount
Thanks dude
Are the fingers gonna break like all the other plastic finger mounts do? I’ve already gone thru 3 shorty’s due to breaking.

@@Rush-Media I’ve had 3rd party mounts break too. Thought it was just the quality, but then my shortys started cracking and broke also

Does the boom desappear with gopro Max ?
Yes
Could I use this with a insta360 x3? I want to mount it on the car bonnet.
Yes you could, you just use an adapter that converts the screw hole mount to a gopro mount
Dude, you be driving’ on the wrong side!
