To me, 'Hello Love' is about being a hopeless romantic(?) you can't help but fall in love everytime, and then get hurt; the love she's singing about is the feeling itself. She wasn't trying to fall in love anymore, she wasn't a hopeless romantic. But this time she's giving love another chance. To me, that's what this song is about.
Really interestong comment about the difference bwtween jessies pop disco style vs Dua. Id akways wondered wbat was kusding for me in Dua, despite liking the sound. And u hit the nail on the head, Jessie gets what fisco really is, bronging a soul and grit to it, while also being that fun person there with you all the way. Her shows are exactly like that.

On this album and particularly on Pearls, Jessie Ware's voice reminds me a lot of Jessie J's. Not to compare them in a bad way, but I think how nice it would have been if Jessie J had taken another direction musically. I loved (as always) your reaction to this talanted, brilliant, incredible, amazing, showstopper, spectacular album.
You make such a good point about modern disco, I could never really get into Dua Lipa's music because it tends to feel a little distant and lifeless to me. Like it's just missing something. It's not exactly bad, but it doesn't automatically make me wanna get up and dance and Jessie Ware does
