    Who decides who is a 5 star recruit?
    could you have back handers to websites who say this guy is a 5 star recruit even if he isn't?
    Seems like the difference between being named a 3 star and 5 star is a massive amount of money

      All of the collectives have a budget they operate from based on need. Just like the NFL, however, there's NO salary cap. One player may eat up a huge portion of that budget, which may cost them players they're trying to get or those they have already committed. This will also affect if they can participate in FLIPMAS.
      OU has to be more selective in its recruiting and focus their resources on maintaining their roster and fighting off teams who wanna flip their players. It's a different budget altogether.

    Question-
    is the standard of conference taken into account when deciding how much someone is worth or where they should go in the draft?
    A Guy like shedeur Sanders plays in big 12 (weakest conference out of the 4) but is still rated highly.
    Should someone be forced to play in SEC or B1G to prove they really are the top 10 in the country?

    He says a Million is this per year? Or a total of the 3-4 years. How many years do these contracts usually run?

    • @On3Recruits

      We are talking per year. Some contracts are year by year. Some are 2-3 years. But we're talking money-per-year in this video

    can’t believe they get that much and they are free agents. things need to change.

      I would say contracts are around the corner because some of these guys opt out of the bowl games (FSU vs Georgia last year) and I say in new contracts it will say you have to play in bowl games. They will probably have a union in the not to distant future.

    I'm curious is it 1 million guarantee? Or is this 1 million dollars based off things? Is part of the million things like cars and stuff that will be returned if they leave the program? Do they have to make so many appearances and if not they forfeit money?

    • @caseyfile
      @caseyfile Před 15 dny +1

      OU being 1 billion debt is not out of the ordinary, UT is 11Billion in debt, for example... NIL is paid by the "collectives", (donors, corporations, etc). Trust me, Oklahoma has plenty of Alumni with huge pockets so don't get it twisted.

      You have no idea what you are talking about. I an VERY close to the program and I can assure you that’s not the case. Remember was recently named most valuable college football program. That’s not endowments or donations. There is plenty of $ available. TexAss and ATM have more money but that’s like saying Mark Cuban is broke because he doesn’t have the money that Elon does

    If these kids take NIL money, they obviously don't need a scholarship. or healthcare. So schools should allocate that to others.
