Even though they lost, there’s so much to love about this effort. They just have to maintain it for the 4 Quarters. Their new style of footy is exciting, they should have got rid of Nathan Buckley (and Eddie) a long time ago. The players and group as a whole are playing so much better under Craig McRae, and enjoying themselves.
Part of the journey is losing so the pies will learn and get better. The cats were a real test since they are one of the best teams in the comp and considering that Collingwood was able to outplay them for most of the game, it shows that the pies have developed so much better than last year under Mcrae

Part of the reason they played a good 3rd was because they were at a better end of the ground, that is why they had no goals in the last quarter

The last time I was at a Collingwood-Geelong match was the 2011 Grand Final. The Pies fans started the chant in the second quarter if I'm not mistaken, the second quarter for Christ's sake,...the word for it is 'hubris'.
Just wait a few years Collingwood has a good team of young players and once they all get used to playing AFL they are gonna be an amazing team

As a pies fan who respects every team/player (minus the dirty ones) while doing the tips, I feel rather appalled by the crowd that night as it harkens back to 2019 (yes, these guys referenced that here). The plus side: It ain’t Anzac Day. I get that the most successful teams are the most envious and some fans may be crazy but not that nuts it’s unbearable. I don’t get why Ginnivan gets pushed around by whom ever else, wanting to do his own thing and enjoy (from what I witnessed at least). Congrats, Joel and Geelong fans, We almost had it in the 3rd, but there wasn’t enough gas left for us in the 4th. No hate from me.👏😌
Fair play mate, thought we were dead and buried to be honest, couldn’t see us coming back like that so credit to the cats players. As you said you just ran out of steam. Despite the result and final quarter performance I think the pies are improving 👍

Despite the result, very good game from the Pies and pretty bad game from the Cats until the last quarter..I guess both teams have learned a lot..
