I was born in Kathmandu, Nepal. I had travelled all most all difficult places on foot but never could never imagined that life was that difficult and dangerous then. This memorable, fantastic documentary gave me clear idea to see how my ancestors spent their life. My salute goes to the production team🙏❤️👍

Thankyou youtube for recommending this to me 🙏❣️❣️
NEPAL 🇳🇵 ROOF OF WORLD
They’re walking barefooted on such rough hills let alone on the damn snow, gosh, munching on the snow like it’s nothing, mad respect ✊
As a Japanese I got huge respect for *HINDU PEOPLE OF NEPAL AND INDIAN*
Why only Hindu? We are Buddhists here.
@@razeno Majority are Hindus thats why. But Buddhist can also live happily if they respect Hinduism
@@spawn11nepal is Buddhist + Hindus.. In Nepal there is no differences between Buddhist and hindu we call them Nepalese maybe you should visit nepal then you will know.. Otherwise if you won't know you don't know.. Anyways Nepalese love japanese and japan.. Samuraies brothers from another mother.
Aarigato gosai masu
@@razeno All religions are respectable . But in the context of Nepal , Hindu and Bhuddist have greater responsibility to maintain communal harmony .
Really thanks to this person who made this documentary of our country when there was no electricity no transportation...preserved till for now..so that we can see and learn our ancestor and beautiful nature...and their lives ....and really proud to see this type of video
Electricity generation was started in 1911 A.D in Nepal ,and till 1957 there were already 2 power plants: Pharping Hydropwer, 500 kW (1911), Sundarijal Hydropower, 640 kW (1934) in operation. Albeit, the electricity distribution was only centered around the capital Kathmandu!
Ram Prasad stop making it sound like Nepal was advanced yno moron.
@@sonampaldensherpa it depends on with who you compare it though . compare it to bhutan, nepal was way aheadof time . but lags behind india who was so much influenced by western. but still nepal and india 's development wasnt much different till last 30-40 years and all thanks to your political leaders :)
It is very interesting to see how rural mountains routes of mid and eastern Nepal looked like 62 years before. Name of valley and rivers are correct but name of some tribes and villages seems differently spelled. The hanging bridge made of vines .. and a porter crossing the Arun river multiple times just hanging in a vine rope is amazing.
Now roads and so called development had made people's life obviously more comfortable but also exposed us to disease like coronavirus. Around 100 years ago when Spanish Flu epidemic killed 5 crore people in India not a single death in Nepal was recorded because of accessibility.
Yes globalization has its benefits but also some drawbacks
Oho yeah exactly , demerits of transportation!!

I don't know why CZcams is recommending such videos after 6/7 years, but i like it,.... Even it is in BnW it looks so beautiful, i wished i could go back in past n enjoy beautiful nepal 🇳🇵🇳🇵🇳🇵

such a gold video. this video was so beautifully recorded. thank you to all the team members.
Beautiful documentary of yester years. Many thanks to uploader.
Amazingly serene and wonderful play of Nature Mother!!! I am very proud of my country for its' beauty and innocence of our people!!!!!
Beautiful Nepal. Love to see how Commentator says Nepal is located between India and Tibet. Before 1959, Nepal share border with Tibet not China.
Communist China invaded the mystical country of seekers of truth- Tibet and therefore China is the 21st century version of Nazi Germany.
@@chetanpaudel9504 ok Chetan how about India letting go of Kashmir? Clearly the people there don't like being with India. Be fair.
Nepal was located with his neighbours: Tibet , sikkim and India tho.
@@radioclash84 I didn't say india is holier than thou; all political games are hegemonic and about preserving the vested interest in every possible way.

One can only imagine how beautiful Nepal must have been.
As a liaison officer of the Government of Nepal, I have visited many trekking and mountain climbing routes in Nepal. But still
At this time I was surprised and honored to see this video. Thanks to the video maker.
Wow, narrated by Sir David Attenborough... our history of Nepal 🇳🇵amazing to see the way of life our ancestors lived over 60 years ago.

I'm so thankful to the one made this video for us and our upcoming generations ❤️❤️
It was a different era.. real and tough hardened men and women. I pay my deepest respects for their endurance, resilience and tolerance of each other's faith and religion as a result lived with each other in harmony and love.. something it seems missing in today's times.. the corrupt politicians' have looted most of our abundant natural resources but I pray to Pashupatinath to never take tolerance, mutual respect and peace from any Nepalese's heart. While watching this video, my grandfather remembered my ancestors, felt very good and happy, described our history. Special thanks David Attenborough, School of Oriental and African Studies in London, He kept the dignity of Gorkhali. Jaya Gorkhali 🇳🇵🙏

The great David Attenborough narrating this is just gold
Wow thanks for this old nepal documentary
Nepal's villages were beautiful, one of a kind. Today in the name of development, we have destroyed our architectural gems with concrete square blocks everywhere.
Nepal is in dire need of revival, a nepali "renaissance". We need to develop and expand our own heritage. Otherwise we will lose our unique identity very soon.
My nepal, my pride.
My friend Gorkhas are simple and lively, honest, polite, hard working, brave people....if you lose these then you will lose your unique identity.....🙏
