Pennsylvania is a gold mine of quality furniture you can buy cheap! Can't believe the auctions that have antique tables and chairs and other furniture that go for $20 or less! That piece you found looks like tiger maple and even if it is veneered it is awesome! A Tiger Maple Veneer Bowfront dresser sold for $1,300 online.

Taco you should have taken pictures of the furniture and sent them to the guy that gives you advise on old furniture .

It is insane how different markets in different parts of the country are. That pile of furniture would bring over a thousand dollars (at a well advertised yard sale) in my neck of the woods. It can make watching your show very difficult for me. Yelling at the screen is bad for little old ladies !
I live near Taco, my parents complete waterfall bedroom set got 50, the dining room set ( table, 6 chairs, buffet, China cabinet), also $50. All in great shape. Furniture does not do well here.

In a situation where you don't have enough room to nab the furniture, take a drawer from every piece you want, then come back.

When he was about to put the ShinyBrites in the back with all those heavy things I literally yelled "NOOOO they are gonna break!" and then he must have heard me, because WHEW he put them up front in the passenger seat. I love ShinyBrites.
I did my whole tree in shiny brights last year I buy them at any estate sale I can so now I have about 300 of them and can’t use them this year because my granddaughter will almost be 2 by Christmas and I won’t take any chances lol
@@antoinettesmart7109 oh that sounds so cool! I only have a couple dozen shinybrites, inherited from my mom. They were the ornaments I grew up with as a child so they are very nostalgic for me. All of mine are round but I would love to have some of those teardrop shaped or ogee shaped ones.

break the legs off the beautiful antique piece because of the 1.00 hammock. You need to dump that grill and take the furniture the ornaments needed to go upfront from the get-go. Even broken furniture can be repaired by the buyers they don't make anything like that anymore. You are missing out on good money for a little scrap metal. OMG you left the oval table

That was a beautiful dressing table at 17:50 with the mirror right beside it. Love the Christmas items, when the man who owns the nursing home where I worked bought a house to use as office space, he let us go in and take what ever we wanted, I got an Electrolux vacuum and a big box of vintage Shiny Brite ornaments, still in the original boxes. Treasure!

For mold/mildew on refinished/wooden furniture, try Murphys Oil Soap cleaning spray (the spray, not the gel in the jar). Furniture experts told us to use that on furniture we got out of storage, it worked and the mold/mildew never came back...

Antique Christmas ornaments!!! I want those!!! That mirror shape is unusual, definitely a keeper. Do you have a dolly and something you could use as a ramp to keep in your van for heavy furniture finds?

The veneer on the wooden furniture has too wide a grain to be oak, I think. Oak looks very different than that. You can google wood grains to learn how to identify woods. You passed up hundreds of dollars of antique furniture there. You could have emptied the van and taken the grill to the scrap yard and gone back for some more of that furniture.
Looks like Tiger Oak, also remember to check out my other videos. This is 9-10 hours into a 2 shift day, 95 degrees outside. Scrap yard is closed by the time the video ends. I work somedays longer than most places are even open. Full shift, no holiday hours here at Taco Stacks LLC.. Make sure to check out the other videos. This wasn't the only video filmed that day.

Wow, all that vintage Christmas! I would have fainted! The thing you didn't know what it was , was a bedroom vanity table and the curvy mirror went with that. You should have grabbed the small occasional table too, the top could have been sanded & varnished, easy. you could have sold that "as is".

Hi, Taco since you pick up grills often perhaps carry some plastic ties so you can tie down the doors on those grills that have them. Holee furniture. I about died seeing that freaking grill come home and not the furniture. Veneer was used in some of the top furniture.
Becuz in that area of the Country, furniture is a cheap commodity. It is everywhere. Scrap is profitable and easy to get rid of quickly. You always have to consider the locals your in.
We had the same table with the mirror when I was a kid. My sister has it now. Well made furniture lasts!

It’s all real wood. It’s old. Veneers have been used for a few hundred years.

Your 2nd favorite piece is a ladies vanity/makeup stand. Those are over $100 on the low end. Something like that made with real wood goes for 300-400 $ at the low end. Cleaned up and redone, it will be absolutely gorgeous.

Taco, giving up the soda (sugar) habit is good for your health. Other sweets will taste sweeter (after awhile). Take an electric screw driver to disassemble the large grills, the plastic table tops and the bulky mirrors attached to dressers. It would make your work a little easier!
WOW !!! A back breaker of a grill !! Beautiful antique furniture! but to do anything with that much furniture, you would have to have a store to sell it in or at least a shop in and antique store. On the furniture they have a couple of screws you can take out to remove the mirror's. Makes them alot easier to handle too.

Years ago a friend of mine found a matching washer and dryer set out in the trash to be picked up, they found out that the women of the house was having her kitchen remodel and the color of the washer and dryer didn't match her new wall color, so they threw them out and got a set that matched the new wall color. The old washer and dryer worked perfectly, one mans trash is definitely another's mans treasure. That's what it means to be rich, frivolous spending, without limit or CONSCIOUS.
That's worth alot especially with the beveled mirrors intact

A lot of the antique furniture had veneer to make it look prettier. Jen-air is a very expensive brand. You could sell that grill. Shiny Brite! Wow!

That was probably about a 1200 dollar grill. Even the junky ones go for 8 or 900... Taco should refurbish them. Prob gets 10 bucks in scrap...
