That little combo has been around a while. The deck was much better with mystic sanctuary back in the day, cuz each fetchland was essentially an extra turn

It was someone from the fireball team I though but yeah lsv was one the first big streamers to showcase it.
Its always fun to watch Fires Turns get attention. It isnt very different from daniel wongs deck from a few years back. Basically that deck witg a couple new cards

Spicy deck. I love it.
I love eternal formats, I just don't like what power creeps does to them. You know, one day your bolt+snapcaster+bolt, the next day your having a series of coin flips and staring contests with your oppent because the decks are so fine tuned and the silver bullets for those decks are so punishing.
That's why formats should be usage based instead of release date based. Then, there would always be an appropriate format for fan favorite cards.

Snapcaster got pushed out by Wrenn and Six. 1 toughness creatures are unplayable unless they are overpowered.
In an eternal format, reining in power creep requires aggressive banning. Though perhaps that is what Modern needs.
I have a deck like that in Modern but without the nonsense of the Companion. It uses Exhaustion as an extra/pseudo Time Warp and planeswalkers like the Royal Scions and Titi FTW.

I feel like you conceded that first game too quickly. It wasn't a likely win, but it WAS a pretty likely thing to draw a land and be able to Time Warp. You also weren't concealing your combo or anything by conceding, since they had already Griefed to see it.

Why am i now finding out about this video that plays a Taking Turns deck in modern, as someone that played alot of differnt Turns variants before ( and brewed alot of them)
while Savor the moment has a drawback skipping that untap step, ive played it before Fires was printed with "As Fortold" naming that variant As Turns Fortold.
also since the Modern Horizons sets came out you might be interested in Daniel Wong's UW SoliTurns (Solitude & Turns), Daniel is a notable pilot of the turns variants and is know as that Quad Sleeve guy that was covered on a GP

demonic tutors is a degenerate mtgo grinder. He could play jank and make it work. Good dude.
try adding seedtime to the side board that way if you get counterspelled you can cast seedtime for 2G and get to untap your lands unless its not in modern cause i dont play modern and not actually sure if its in it or not
