THE EVOLUTION OF JOKER MAKEUP

- In this video I'm transforming myself into FOUR Jokers to show the evolution of Joker makeup in movies. I started with Cesar Romero in the 1966 film Batman. Next I transformed into Jack Nicholson's Joker from the 1989 Tim Burton version of Batman. And then I recreated Heath Ledger's Joker from the Dark Knight. Last but not least I transformed into Jared Leto's version of the Joker for Suicide Squad. I love how you added Cesar Romero's mustache that they tried to hide in the movie. It always amuses me that they went to the trouble of trying to cover it instead of just shaving it. Actually my favourite Batman movie. It's so camp and ridiculous and I love it.
I enjoyed that detail, too, and they only did that because he refused to shave it. :)
Thank you!!! Cesar is pretty great! I thought it was quite funny that he refused to shave for the part. I guess his mustache was his trademark so it makes sense.
Loved the Jack Nicholson version, he will always be my favorite. He was a bit goofy, but the Joker has always been just that. You're so awesome, you got every look down to every little detail. A true artist!

she has way only 3 versions of her but has several outfit changes that I would just love to see
+K Marie nah harley actually has quite a few versions. way to many. if you include comic books, tv, video games. she's been changed so many times it's nuts.

What a brilliant idea! The intro really draws you in and the changing music keeps you hooked! My favorite is the Heath ledger Joker makeup you did. I enjoy how you made the color drift into the "wrinkles" on your face and added spattering to make it look worn.
What type of prosthetic did you use on the Jack Nicholson one?
if you're brave enough to use it rigid collodion is also really good to make the scars from Heath Ledger's Joker
You could use it but I'm not much of a fan of it. It hurts too much to remove.
No problem! Keep up the good work! Wow latex and cotton huh! How did you get it's texture so smooth? Normally latex and cotton stuff has a grainy stringy texture

Do you think you could possibly do a video on your airbrushing setup? I've been looking into getting one for makeup application but am a bit lost on which would be the best for the job. Also, Heath Ledger will always be my favorite incarnation of the Joker, at least from an aesthetic point of view. I love how his makeup looks messy and like he's been wearing it for days. It really looks like something he would have done himself, and I think it majorly adds to the development of the character.

The third one to me remains the "darkest" of the bunch... I love that the makeup still has the SFX element to it, while adding a very trashy and "lived-in" feel to the look.. I think it's simply brilliant. Thanks for the video, I really liked to be able to compare the 4 different styles ☺️.

Holy transformations, Batman!!!! You are masterful!!!! They are all amazing. But I have to say the "Heath Ledger" Joker is my favorite. The rigid colliding scar, all the shading, highlighting, speckling of the makeup that you did. Also, the way that you incorporated your own hair.

This is truly mindblowing, you did an amazing job of this! I can't even choose who my favourite is of your Jokers, because they are all just so perfect! I did grow up on Nicholson's Joker, however, so I think he has the spot in my heart. As far as an exploration of the character, I like Ledger's the best, though. He is truly terrifying in a weirdly handsome way.

I truly enjoyed Heath Ledgers joker..I think the best. He really played a crazed Joker.. and it came across perfectly. Jack Nicholson's Joker was great too. I just think Heath took his Joker into an even darker level.
