The Shokaku may not have gotten lucky. All dive bombers can drop at very low altitudes if the throttle is pushed forward during the dive. As the dive duration is still the same but the dive speed is higher, the aircraft will get closer to sea level. The japanese dive bombers are somewhat unique in that they can drop from very low altitude while still maintaining a straight dive, unlike US dive bombers that will pull up when they get to low altitude. This means that it is easier to land IJN bombs on a destroyer but the pay off is less than if a US bomb landed.

I had a cool formation moment earlier today, I was in a Prince Eitel Freidrich and a friendly Mackensen came alongside, we were within two kilometers for a good five minutes fighting a Leander and a New Mexico
Play it like a baby iowa and if you don't have that then play it as a more mobile attacking battleship, it's guns are meaty and when angled it's armour holds up well but it's bow plate can be overmatched by nearly everyone at the tier (15inch guns and up)
@@clawitzeristhebestpokemon8765 Yeah it's not quite as bad for that as Colorado but it's still an issue it's a good ship to properly learn angling as if the shells are coming down to the centre armour or middeck you can shrug them off with minor superstructure damage but that bow will always be a target for a good captain
Did better with the La Gal, perfect run. All you gotta do is use Engine Boost, zoom across the map, flank the enemy, and then farm citadel hits on the scrubs. The event is easy to win if you can achieve crossfire, which the La Gal effortlessly does with its superior speed.

Anyone else really disappointed in the really low amount of T8 ships that have been introduced? I was especially annoyed at the introduction of Yugumo. IJN DDs already have Shimakaze; why in the hell would you introduce yet another torpedo destroyer at T8, instead of say, Kitakaze? I'm feeling like the scrubs whining about Friesland has precluded them from ever introducing Kitakaze or Harugumo. Either one of those IJN gunboats would give me a reason to actually play the game and maybe spend money, but as it stands right now I'm not going to bother.
I’m happy with the amount of T8s we got, it’s a damn sight better than the 3 ships we got to introduce legendary tier to the game Yugumo was always going to be one of the first T8s, the IJN torpboats are THE most popular tech tree line in the game For you and I, Kitikaze is more appealing but to the masses, Yugumo is more to their liking and more popular. it is what it is, everyone has their wants, just gotta be patient
@@pgrapidz Patient is all well and good. Waiting 2+ years for a (hopefully) T8 ship I've been waiting to come out since the game released is an entirely new beast. Akizuki is nice. She's still not Kitakaze nor Harugumo. And the game's not worth playing without access to either one of those ships. There are enough noob friendly ships in the game that appeals to the masses. We don't need even more added on.
The USS Black has made call-outs in this game really risky. If you see a divison of them, you can't just yell "Get rid of those Blacks"
