    Been following you for years..and you folk have to cover all options and all levels of riders and mechanics
    BUT we both know...if available..a socket or ring spanner..is THE correct tool..not a adjustable, shifter spanner..😅
    Enjoy your motorcycle life
    Stay safe..

    You're very lucky to have a Torque Wrench built in you elbow, but do you, also, have en X-RAY vision - to see the condition of the wheel-bearing lube / grease ?? 😀 I'd take a look, if the wheel's already down..... just in case 🤷‍♂

    Wouldn't trust myself to do this so I take the bike to a dealer 😂

    Make sure you torque the pinch bolts correctly and in the right order. I've had them fail and dump me on the road because I thought elbow tight was fine. Not worth the risk, or the pain to the wallet.

    only 10.000 kms to destroy front tyre?
    isn't that very fast?

    • @AfricaTwin-Stuff
      @AfricaTwin-Stuff  Před 3 měsíci

      No. It’s pretty good for an adventure tyre. I was only expecting 8,000km from it.

      I killed the factory tyres on my AT in 5,000 kms, I thought I did well getting that much out of them. Id budgeted on 3500 km.

      @@mattyb7736 wow,,,,even tyre on my racing bike lasts 5000 km and it weighs 220 grams

    • @AfricaTwin-Stuff
      @AfricaTwin-Stuff  Před 3 měsíci

      Hmmm. If your race bike weighs 220 GRAMS that explains why you get such great mileage.
      The rest of us ride 200+kilogram bikes that chew thru tyres.

      @@AfricaTwin-Stuff haha no....weight of tyre is 220 grams but i am 90 thus bicycle and me 100 kilos(so it is bicycle tyre not motorcycle)
      if you compare tiny 25 mm tyre weighing 220 grams survive 5000 kms with much higher internal pressure(8 bars) then question is how bad is material used in motorcycle tyre which weighs what 15 times more meaning much more material to be worn
      granted,bike has much weaker"engine" and brakes and race bikes are not driven on bad terrains but still difference is fascinating
      hope you will continue to keep your NC i like your stories and bike itself,i have seen some greek guy on YT making over 300K km,Honda really knows how to make engines

    Only downside to having dual disc brakes is when you accidentally put the tire on backwards and don’t realize it. I remember years ago when I,….errr, I mean a friend did this. Embarrassing!

    • @AfricaTwin-Stuff
      @AfricaTwin-Stuff  Před 3 měsíci

      Yes. It’s could easily be done.

      I just put a texta mark on the disc, what side and what direction.
