Thank you. This is one of the best Pixel 6 unboxing I have seen.
Too bad tech companies are limiting what can't and can do in you videos when devices first come. I think it is important to hear reviews even after presentations so we have an idea to whether purchase the product or not.
I think click baiting reviewers are part of the issue as well , when given non-final software as in this case, I've seen so many use that against the product without providing the proper context to the viewers
Reviewers should just refuse to do it. That would solve the problem. Mr. who's the boss refused to do it. This is a two-way contract so one side is no more to blame than the other. That's why it's a hypocritical I think for these big CZcamsrs to be critical while they sign these embargoes voluntarily.
And at least in the case of big youtubers, you're not totally dependent on a fresh unboxing. Anything they might be able to push the industry standards on this. Everyone's getting rich off it, and then complaining about it to take some moral high ground.
These are basically 10 min plus ads for the Pixel and really not the way YT should be moving. These "previews" should be banned as they are all fluff and unicorns and rainbows. Google are expecting us to pre-order based on these promo videos which are all rather Samsung-like.
I mean, youtubers are just waiting to upload their reviews after the set date is up. Just wait till then, I'm sure it won't go up to a month after release.

my concern is the finger print scanner on the screen. i had the samsung ultra 20 and it was not good everytime you put a screen protector on the screen you had to reconfigure the fingerprint
How is the brightness of the screen on the pro? Is it bright like the Galaxy s21 ultra?
Looks exquisite nice cameras but where is the motion since software you guys build your own chipset now is the time to implement the motion sense give me thing that was in the pixel 4 .
I'm going to miss the back fingerprint sensor. I enjoyed unlocking my phone with one hand while holding it and using it to scroll down on the notifications to take a glimpse.

Just a minor correction (otherwise, good video). The 4 and 4XL don't have rear (or any) fingerprint reader.
Nice specs and nice to see Google with their own Samsung assisted chip in the device. But the phones look a bit unwieldy. The camera bump in 2021 doesn't seem right, but it may grow on you. After using the pixel 5 for a while going back to a larger device may seem strange.
Is it brighter than the other pixels?

I have never owned a pixel so excuse the basic question. Can you remove the search bar in the homescreen or do u have to use nova launcher to get rid of this?
Big yikes, even my s20 can remove any widgets and customize my UI how I like.

Is the shiny metal frame on the pro stainless steel?
It is yes, aluminium on the Pixel 6 and stainless steel on the Pixel 6 Pro
All reviewers saying the top and bottom bezels are thicker on 6 stop they are the same as the pro it's the railing around the 6 its black so it appears to be the bezal but it isn't
Just a small correction, not every pixel phone has had a colored power button. I'm looking at my Pixel 2 right now and it is the same color as the other two buttons.
the pixel 3 too. same color. I think the power button color is different on the non-black p2 and p3 phones though?

Please let the camera be great, because I really want the 6 pro, but if the camera doesn't stack up to the leading competition then I'm definitely going to have to keep the phone I already have.
Even the 5 kept up with the competition despite having inferior hardware. The 6 has much better hardware, so I don't see any way it'll be worse than other flagships.
Not the biggest deal however seeing as there's no headphone jack, they really should Include an adaptor for that in the box
The Pixel 4 doesn't have a fingerprint sensor.
If Google make this pixel 6 the same design as pixel 4 and screen pixel 5 and inside With pixel 6.

First thing that smashes if its dropped on its back is the big sheet of glass covering the cameras

Is there a HUGE difference between a 90hz and 120hz display ?
That is the only thing bothering me when wanting to get the Pixel 6
90 to 120hz is not as noticable as 60 to 90hz. I wouldn't feel too bad about not having 120hz when you have 90hz unless you like to scroll around wildly. On a screen this small the benefits of 120 vs 90hz are not as noticable
Going from 60-120Hz is doubling the refresh rate, but going from 90-120Hz is only a 33% increase so the difference is not significant for the average user. For some who are very perspective with refresh rates will notice but I don't and feel 90Hz is a great optimal choice to avoid some battery loss.
I imagine if you are coming from 60hz, both will feel like a nice bump.

Honestly, even though I know the 6 Pro is a better phone, I might go with the normal 6. That price is killer.

Excuse me, does it support face unlock at "Settings > Security > Security and screen unlock ?" I meant just like "Qualcomm Smartphone for Snapdragon Insiders" that it has face unlock and fingerprint verification.
This is not a Qualcomm chip so I doubt it. Face recognition is insecure and I assume, like Apple, Google will not use such poor security measures?

@@andyH_England But for me, if manufacturers can give users more tools (unlocking methods,) that is good news for me. Because it allows me to switch between different unlocking methods in different scenarios, this will makes me feel very convenient(of course not only Qualcomm provides similar services, I see many manufacturers also provide similar functions)
@@llw0411 I think OEMs worry that another option is just another path for hackers and something they will have to update and patch. One very secure biometric solution is the best with the backup of a PIN or password. Samsung and others let you use insecure methods and that is their choice, and an alternative if that is important.

As per MKBHD they are allowed to show only homescreen. So technically this shouldn't be a problem I guess, counting the wallpaper and themes as part of homescreen.

It's probably just a supply issue and the variance you want sold out the fastest. You can expect a restock although you might not get the free pixel buds if you wait around too long.
Possible they only put it on one color variant. I know the White version sold out very fast.
@@arisgolseen2693 yeah. I don't think there's nearly as much value for the pro at 900 but it just look like an amazing device. 120 hz, 1440p, bigger battery, bigger screen... Although the big screen and curved bezel might be a downside to a lot of people.

I actually feel like the colored button always gave the pixel line a little bit of a toyish feel. Glad that all the buttons are the same color, and I hope they are metal this time around for a true premium feel

I mean, you can see just based on the design that it won't wobble. The camera bar goes all the way across the back so there's physically no way it COULD wobble when laying on a hard surface.

I guess most of the people that didn't preorder are waiting for reviews, especially what they did with video, weak point of all Pixels. They didn't talk much about it in presentation, and all this embargo stuff...something tells me that they didn't polish all video features yet. I really hope they nailed it this time as I'm leaving Samsung after 6 years of using only their flagships. Their prices don't match the quality of the phones anymore... So, fingers crossed that Pixel 6 (Pro) will have as good video recording as photos will be !
I think a lot of people wanted to pre-order but Google was so busy leaking their own phone that they forgot to actually make the phone. I tried all day to grab one but unfortunately Google ran out of stock on a phone that’s not even out yet. Crazy.
@@Rivs5117 yeah, that's incredible. But I think it's better for us, knowing Google there is a big chance something will go wrong with the device (happened in the past). Nobody talked about video and call quality, screen brightness and many other things. I'm 99% sure Pro is my next phone (after 6 years of using Samsung) but I'll wait for the reviews...

Prices are fine, I just wish Pro had mate back and no curved screen but improved video recording, screen brightness and battery life is what will make my decision. It's first generation of Tensor so fingers crossed they did it well.

I think he'll be fine. He really didn't show much of the software. No photo or video samples to test the camera, no phone calls to test call quality, no audio testing, no durability testing, no connectivity testing and more. Google would have to be a complete butt hole to take any sort of negative action on this channel for this brief unboxing and first look.

Right? Another example of where flagship phone buyers are getting punished for spending more money than others. Please Google kept the price down way below expectations but that's still no excuse. Honestly we should have a headphone jack and expandable storage on every cell phone.

LG and Sony were the only ones with these features and no one bought LG so they went out of business and Sony's number is up soon with dreadful sale numbers. Certainly the public does not seem to care about these features otherwise LG and Sony would be selling tens of millions? A few techies complaining on YT means nothing, those features are dead, welcome to 2021!

The pixel 6 isn't curved and the pro is just barely curved definitely not a waterfall display
