Going back in for Vlahovic would signify a compromise in values from Arteta & our club. Arteta stated that he doesn’t want players he has to convince to come to Arsenal, plus Vlahovic rejected our approaches previously. I would rather us keep with Jesus, Nketiah, and Trossard as third option at ST; then go for Toney in January or Osimhen in the summer.
The thing is, I agree with you and arteta. I don't want players who will reject arsenal because he thinks he better than the club. But to be fair that was season we bottled top 4 and was underwhelming in Europa.
But circumstances have changed with arsenal upward trajectory, vlahovic seem to been humbled by his time at Juventus, and it isnt working the way he expect, and dare I say part of him might be regretting turning down arsenal.

Arsenal aren’t going for Vlahovic. He rejected them for Juventus and Arteta has made it clear he only wants players who want to be at Arsenal. He doesn’t want mercenaries. But it does pose issues with getting them out if they want to stay and we're paying them well. And sure, other clubs can label them mercenaries. There's no reason they shouldn't.

He wants that dedication more than anything. Jorginho is a perfect example of a mercenary at the club, but he's also dedicated to the vision and wanted to be there from the first conversation with Arteta. He hasn't gone after any player that previously had the opportunity to join Arsenal and chose a different club.
