I don't know which surprises me more, the insane difference how Fahrenheit smelled on me yesterday as a nonsmoker compared to how I thought it originally smelled (it's definitely a different formulation), or the fact she had this reaction to my grandpa's cologne which I thought was really cheap and didn't actually like it. In fairness, the sample I smelled definitely was really different, but still don't understand why she thinks it's so good. It's definitely got this really rich smoky smell, just not for me I don't think. Definitely am keeping Lalique noir extreme in mind though. Sorry it's just funnier because now I realize Farhenheit's new formulation I see as being a much more businessy man's man type cologne and wouldn't have thought romantic (in fairness, I guess the old one was much much sweeter, unless smoking made my nose that broken)
Another reason Sebastian is my favorite fragrance reviewer. Videos like this where he collaborates with a future perfumer to get a different perspective on favorite fragrances. I actually learn about fragrances on these types of videos. Thanks Sebastian and Ashley!!

This is really, really, really, REALLY good. I loved hearing her personal thoughts on her picks, she has a seasoned nose and is very articulate. Good mix of crowd pleasers and underrated frags, too. Please do more videos with Ashley!

There are so many great things I can say about this video! I Loved it! I Loved Ashley’s take on these fragrances and her overall conversation. I so agree that in my journey I have found my signature fragrances but we are extremely complex individuals so nothing may fit us 100%. Also, I wanted to add to her excellent point that our circumstances and atmospheres are also always changing. This also makes embracing a signature scent more challenging... Nice when you have a female co-host. Is Ashley done with her studies? I share some of the scents on the list with my husband. Maison Margiela By The Fireplace,Dior Fahrenheit Le Parfum,Dior Homme Parfum(the intense) ,Tom Ford Ombre Leather and our common fav Lalique Encre Noire A L'Extreme.
She’s bang on with Bleu De Chanel. People hate on it but it just works and I always get loads of compliments when I wear it. Not the most exciting fragrance but it’s masterfully put together
I have seen a lot of videos related to perfumes, but this one tops them all off!
As other commenters have already said it would be great to have more videos with Ashley. Her list is spot on and she has the ability to share her knowledge and passion in a very friendly way.

She has the exact same enthusiasm for Fahrenheit as I do. Ive absolutely loved that sent from the first time I smelled it over 20 years ago. I'm so grateful that Dior hasn't discontinued the fragrance.

This was a really great video. Getting an actual 'professionals' perspective, someone who's actually in the industry was a really interesting.
I’m a 38 yo woman and I buy Blue de Chanel for my self for years and it’s so gorgeous for me, it works great with my own skin, it’s not aggressive at all when i’m wearing it, getting compliments and questions all the time and when I tell people that it’s make perfume, they’re surprised
I enjoyed this a lot. Some reviewers invite guest girls that have smelled more perfumes in their lifes than 1 million and sauvage 😀

Bit you're going to be socialising with people equivalent to Jeremy's ladies on a daily basis. Not everyone is going to have equivalent fragrance knowledge to Astley so they won't appreciate certain fragrances.

Ashley is more like a perfume enthusiast. Jeremys ladies are more average girls that have no deep knowledge on perfumes. But most girls are like them, and their opinion on perfume is defer. And there’s nothing wrong with it. Some people just like smell that nice to them.
Super late comment but I LOVE Ashley’s enthusiasm. I could listen to her talk about perfume all day. Please bring her back soon :)

Sebastian, I am so grateful to Ashley and you for introducing me to Gentleman Givenchy EDP. The House of Givenchy is not new to me since I was introduced to the original or near-original Givenchy Gentleman almost thirty years ago.
I love gourmand scents and with the demise of LIDGE and Lolita Lempicka Au Masculine I had been in fragrance wilderness for the past two years. Until now that is. I first tried the Gentleman Givenchy EDP over a week ago and couldn't stop pressing my nose to my wrist all evening. The iris, patchouli and sweet notes do it for me. Fragrances go through their evolutionary formulations over time which do not always sit well but with my buttons pushed, little wonder that I have discovered my new signature scent.
Additionally I feel privileged to have in my modest collection, three of Ashley's Top 5!! The two I'm missing are the Dior creations. Dior Homme is almost unseen these days and I have yet to sample Fahrenheit EDP.

So heartening to see and hear the way Ashley described Dior Fahrenheit Parfum. It is the Iconic Perfume I have ever ever smelled in my life and easily stands as my favourite fragrance. Yes but an honourable mention to YSL M7 wooohooo ! That was something. Gone are those days and not the scent but the memories of wearing it trails and lingers !!

I notice that all reviews of Fragrances for men done by women often end up being mostly about something they can wear themselves (hence a lot of unisex ones). Though don't know any woman wearing Fahrenheit, and hardly any Encre Noire, both are actually hated by a lot of women as well. 😜 I like Ashley's taste.👍

Ashley provides great insight into the different scents. It is great to hear someone knowledgeable give an opinion.
Dunhill Icon, while I thoroughly enjoy it, smells kind of like vaseline (petroleum jelly) at the very top. Then you get that "grape soda" vibe. I really dig the soapiness of it, especially in the dry down. Great fragrance, but I would say mostly for the office or daytime errands.
I just loved this girl so much. Talked with all confidence, passionate and a lot of knowledge!!

Very impressed by her choices. Great list. I still have to try Lalique Encre Noire a L'Extreme. I'm not a huge fan of the original but this one may be better to my taste.
I've loved fahrenheit for years but have never been involved with someone who owned this and just bought this for my bf's bday. I think this is a different version of the original but so excited to smell it on him.

Encre noire extreme is truly amazing! I think it’s simillar to the dior homme intense scent profile even though it doesnt have iris. The price is amazing also, niche scent for a designer price.

Tom Ford Ombré Leather is the best release of 2018 imo. If you are looking for the perfect leather jacket fall and winter juice, Ombré Leather is it.

I feel like Ashley's explanation of why EN Extreme is her top one in this list is the best review of a fragrance I've ever heard on youtube. Personal, but descriptive of the fragrance itself and she obviously loves it and fragrances overall which makes her passion while talking about it look effortless.

Would you consider doing a video of the most "natural" fragrances meaning, least synthetic smelling and least synthetic ingredients?
the reason I ask is that just wearing essential oils does not seem to be effective

@@ThePerfumeGuy that's how I got into the fragrances. I originally had the polo blue etc and quit frags for years... Then got into essential oils for aromatherapy, and eventually came full circle wanting to smell good again but wearing actual essential oils is kind of a flop. They have little endurance. Full circle, now i want what fragrances have to offer. Just now digging back in. Totally get that it's an "outsider" perspective. I loved this video bc she is so familiar with the ingredients

I have 3 75ml bottles of the 2014 batch of Dior Homme Parfum that I purchased in 2014 because I'm obsessed with it. Mind you this was the beginning of my fragrance Journey. Still to this day its my favorite designer fragrance that I would wear in the colder months.
