Big Oz you’ll find a lot of winch challenge trucks would only run 2” or so lift & run 37’s
@@aussiebevo103 it's not a simple 2inch though. They've replaced all the arms, links and rods underneath. 37s and bigger are a larger tyre, so when deflated to 16psi or lower, can flex, compress and articulate more than a 32/33, giving proportionally more under arch room than a 4 inch and 35s. Overall it's a purpose built setup and very capable

That’s 1 sick patrol. It’s got a really unique sound too. Doesn’t sound like a blow fly in a bottle like how most TD42’s sound like

A td42 with bigger turbo is no sleeper.... I was expecting 400hp of more.

Great build...shame that ol' mate's driving style will see that rig either blow-up or tip over in the short term.
If you want a diesel surely you build a 6bt patrol
6bt so heavy... would be a worthy project though for Sam though.

I reckon the gearing is all out of whack with the tyres and gears which would stuff up how many kms you’re actually doing

You should check out Taylors_chopped_80 for a rundown video. That guys got an insane cruiser and he built it himself
Flex ramp isn't very good measurement as this one is same ramp and Jarrrod Francis and Jarrod made to top and couldn't go any further and was measured as 840mm and Kurtis was measured at 900mm and didn't make to top?

Robert Yeah I have a mod plate on my GU . But I didn’t think 37 inch tyres where okay in QLD.
But then I remembered Patriots 6x6 mega cruiser has portals and 37 inch tyres. 👍

What makes you think it's a stupid tune? Not the first Patrol I have seen with 37s that was legal...
If it's engineered correctly, it's safe.
No more dangerous than a 200t crane.
Generally with the bigger wheels you would have to upgrade the braking system, I think it's mark's adapters that sells the upgrade.
