    I was totally hooked the first time I head this. As an alternate recording, I suggest listening to Shaham's recording.
    I uploaded this in my old account but reuploaded this as a whole instead of having to listen to it in pieces. Back then youtube didn't allow users to upload videos longer than 10 minutes long.

    this is a concerto written by kabalevsky and it became famous with david oistrach . here its played by oistrach, and conducted by kabalevsky himself, so wat is the point to look far a better version :-) this is wat the composer wanted ....this is a golden recording ! we must more go for the historical recordings , technicly a bit less, but artisticly much better

    • @zanexiao4488
      @zanexiao4488 Před 4 lety +12

      Modern recordings are not necessarily technically better nor artistically lesser; conversely recordings made by the composer doesn't necessarily equal the best recording, as Wagner, Puccini, Stravinsky and Copland all expressed preferences for their music to be conducted by people other than themselves. But I agree this is a remarkable recording.

    Lost for words, just so fantastic, This piece played by Oistrakh cannot be compared to other players! This is so wonderful. Is he even human? So much tone and intonation. I'm lost for words

    To be heared to be believed. Oistrach surpassing himself. Breathtaking virtuosity, glorious sound, mastership beyond imagination. The music is very charming with its "communistic optimism".
