- What if Mace Windu ALTERED Anakin Skywalker's Destiny? Let’s explore the depths of it in this video
With the death of Qui Gon Jin, the Jedi Council gathers to discuss the fate of Anakin Skywalker. Though they were reluctant to accept him, the late Qui Gon had insisted on training him, even making it his dying wish. It was something they could not ignore.
Obi-Wan steps forward and offers to train Anakin. As noble as this offer is, he is only a newly-made knight and not ready to take an apprentice.
But another Jedi rises to his feet. Mace Windu looks at the council and says he shall train the boy. If Anakin is destined to face the Dark Side, Mace is the most qualified to teach him. Unlike Obi-Wan, he is experienced and already an accomplished master. More importantly, he has unique abilities that no other Jedi can teach him.
Anakin needed a firm hand to guide him, someone to look up to as a father. That is the only way he will listen.
His training would be unlike anything the other Padawans experienced because of Mace’s unorthodox fighting style, Vaapad. Unlike other Jedi who tried to suppress negative emotions such as anger, this style harnesses and directs it towards their opponents.
For Anakin, who had already developed strong emotions and attachments, it would be difficult to let go of his attachments. This will at least allow him to unleash them healthily.
This helped strengthen the bond between the two, allowing him to focus on training. Mace is an excellent teacher for Anakin. He was a man of action who wasn’t afraid to act recklessly, something Anakin could relate to, but at the same time, he was also patient and stern, helping temper Anakin’s recklessness.
Aside from Vaapad, Mace would also teach Anakin his other signature technique, shatter point, feeling for things in the Force that could change the future by observing patterns of cause and effect. This honed Anakin’s already strong instincts and made him highly resourceful. It also allowed Anakin to understand the dangers of attachments.
To teach Anakin, Mace arranged for Shmi to be freed and set up on a quiet farm to live out her days peacefully. However, Anakin will not be allowed to see her.
As they talk, Mace sits Anakin down and explains that this isn’t meant to be cruel but to explain the necessity of letting go of attachment. It was a lot to take in, but Mace wanted this to become a learning opportunity for him.
Mace: Who do you think the Jedi serve?
Anakin: The senate.
Mace: Close, but not quite. We serve the Republic. There is a difference between serving an institution to an individual. Take each senator for example, they must serve their people, but in most cases, they simply serve their families. That is attachment and it is why we have people like your mother in bondage, because instead of doing their duty they cling to their attachment.
Anakin: But serving for money and serving to free someone from slavery isn’t the same thing.
Mace: Perhaps not. But two paths can end in the same destination. If you focus only on serving your mother, how can you help the countless other slaves in the galaxy? I teach you to let go of attachment not to become callous to suffering but to never allow yourself to lose track of what you must do. However, I freed your mother because it is the right thing to do.
For Anakin, all of this showed how confusing it was to be a Jedi, but as he looked at his master, he saw the wisdom in his words and found himself at peace. This was a confusing world, but he was confident he could find a way to navigate through it.
Thankfully, he would have plenty of time to put it into practice as Mace has Anakin on numerous missions across the galaxy where he gains valuable experience.
This only becomes more important as he’s assigned to protect Senator Amidala after she is nearly assassinated. Alongside Obi-Wan, the two of them keep a watchful eye over her and just barely manage to stop a second assassination attempt.
Despite his best efforts to harness Mace’s teachings and keep things professional between him and Padme.
However, this is just the tip of the iceberg as this failed assassination sets a sequence of events that leads them to the Clone Wars. Mace wastes no time volunteering his services on the front lines with Anakin following closely behind.
Despite the chaos of this war, it is also a place where Anakin and Mace can thrive. They were made to be warriors and the Clone Wars proves that. Their shatter-point abilities allow them to find weaknesses in enemy plans and strategies and win countless victories deemed impossible.
Unlike many other Jedi, their martial inclinations make them more suited for frontline combat. Neither one balked at getting their hands dirty or acting boldly in ways others deemed unacceptable.
For that reason, Anakin was soon highly regarded as a war hero. His victories and charisma made him the darling of the Republic. This soon caught the eye of Palpatine who - Zábava
Always like the ones where Mace trains Anakin, he is one of the few that balance his dark tendencies with positive reinforcement of the light side
Windu and Revan I feel are the two best Jedi for Anakin, for much the same reason. Their ability to accept, and utilize, the full spectrum of emotions, are precisely the tools Anakin needed.
I like how Mace Windu trains Anakin, and is able to use the skills of Mace Windu to fight Palpatine and Aurra Sing, who was once a Jedi, turned bounty hunter. Mace Windu is one of my favorite Jedi, because of his skill and power.
What if the jedi started investigating corrupt senators 150 years before the clone wars which resulted in the jedi being exiled from the republic 12 years later?
What if palpatine was on the front Lines of the separatist’s as a sith lord, not wanting to turn Anakin?
Palpy isn't a front-line sith warrior, or juggernauts or marauders he's a scheming sorcerer behind the scenes. If he didn't want Anakin, he would most likely train someone else to fight in the front lines

The thumbnail had me believe for a second that Mace Windu was advising Anakin to fear clouds cause I saw the first line and vaguely registered the name Anakin afterwards.
Well, there is a April Fools suggestion for you; what if Mace Windu (and possibly the Jedi order) feared clouds and advised Anakin to fear clouds?
Then when the Jedi was talking up a storm about fear clouding his judgement they were talking about fearing clouds, not that he was confused, which probably would lead him to be very confused.
TL;DR old man yells at clouds.

I sincerely hope that you have a good idea for parts 2&3 because the story you've written is in my opinion truly worthy of completing. And it will take two more episodes to do so satisfactorily. What if Jabba the Hutt, 500 year-old crime lord was also The Dark Lord of the Sith? Darth Tenebrous was a coward who fled his master and started his own rebellious offshoot of the rule of 2. Palpatine was the heir to this failed apprentice. But it was always Jabba who was the true master of the Sith.

This was amazing. I’ve been a fan of your videos for a while and it’s always fun to see your interesting SW what if’s. It was also fun to see Windu training Anakin getting shown some love. Since this is a very unique and interesting pairing and has a lot of potential to become great. Great job as always and I can’t wait to see what you do next.
I do have a few ideas for some possible what if’s:
1) What if Rey was a Mandalorian…essentially what if Din Djarin found Rey and took her in as a Foundling.
2) What if Ezra was a Mandalorian…something like how both his parents were Mandalorians who left Mandalore and went to start their own lives (you could still keep most of Ezra’s backstory) and potentially make Ezra and Sabine a couple (since Disney won’t, we have too…#ezrabine4ever.
3) What if Jango Fett and/or Boba Fett Joined the Republic…I think something interesting could happen with this.
4) What if Rey, Finn and Poe went back in time to the Clone Wars…this would make the World Between Worlds even more of an important focal point and I could also see them get along well with Anakin, Ashoka, Rex and the rest of the 501st (it would be fun to see Rey, Finn and Poe join the 501st)

What if Savage accidentally killed Dooku during a training session?
As we know darth vader was a natural engineer and could use mechaguru or whatever so what if he used skill to create nanobots to repair his lungs and burns while also making limbs that could conduct the force to make lightning. This could relate to inquisitor baris as she used nanobots in the bomb and he may remember nanobots and their uses. He could could also conduct experiments diguised as torture to fool sidious, learning to heal wounds, make force sensitive droids/limbs and using nano bots to manipulate mididclorians to strip or enhance the force in individuals.
What I was thinking was that he used nanobots to remove scar tissue especially around the lungs and he would be dipped in bacta or bacta would be applied this would allow him breath which means he can meditate more deeply. And for the limbs, it is possible to make material force sensitive and I was thinking he make limbs skeletal looking like in attack of the clones but would then cover the we either grafed flesh from his body or flesh made from his blood and other ingredients like perhaps kyber crystal this would make the force flow from him easier and perhaps with the sith alchemy in the limbs making his force lightning more powerful. Basically an uber vader who is perhaps stronger than full potential anakin.

What if Mace Windu taught prominent council members like Yoda and Obi-Wan vaapad in anticipation of a confrontation with the sith Lord?
It would have been better in the sense of training but not having any social or person like qualities. Windu is like a robot without emotion and programmed to be one way. Anakin's training to reach his potential would be met but if he took after windu he would be a robot and that would be both good and bad.

I think it would've made sense, now hear me out, for Mace to take Anakin on and teach him to become very powerful due to the fact that, Mace didn't have an apprentice? I'm not sure. But if not, and Obi- Wan was only knighted by the end of episode I, Windu would be the best choice. Then in order for the first trilogy to make sense, windu would've needed a sooner death. Possibly by the hands of Count Dooku. Then obi- wan in episode II, would've been made a master and then taken Anakin as his apprentice.

Or anakin became a healer either before or after his mother death could be related to his friendship with offee or alternatively what if he was trained by tra sa who taught windu and actually did not forbid attachment as shown by her relationship with tholme , they could become like a pseudo parents to anakin and train him away from the temple in azati martial arts and from trasa the living force as she is a plant lady so imagine anakin controlling plant life.
Do you put these out planning to create part twos, or do you just put them out and end them like this for suspense?

For this story, I'd say it depends on execution. Even as a writer, I personally don't know if I'd feel confident writing a part two for this one-to me it either writes itself, it's formulaic, or it subverts expectations in a way that not everyone would like (cough cough, Last Jedi!). But hey, I'm not you. Personally, though, I think this could work just fine as it is.
Also, I could be wrong, but I was under the impression that shatter point was an inate Force ability, not something that can be taught. Cool concept either way, though.
By the way, I'm totally blind, so I've watched the films with an audio descriptive service. The narrator for the original six had a very similar delivery style to yours. In other words, you've got a really cool narrator voice, my dude! Do you do all the impressions yourself? The echo can be a little jarring, but you could almost imagine it as echoes from the past (though the fact that you narrate in the present tense is very interesting too. Maybe I'm reading too much into this. Ha ha!).
