Rempala was riding with his guts, Havvy was riding with his brains and the clever rider shone through. Rempala is quite experienced...surprised he made so many mistakes to let Havvy come past him.
I challenge anyone to find a better race than this. Compulsive repeated viewings and even a lump in my throat just listening to the commentary and watching it.......unbelievable.
My missis is polish, makes a nice change to show her a brit beating a pole in an international meeting! Top race that one, reminds me of Havvy's heyday when he could pass the best of them.
WOW! Isn't Speedway just great! The bikes are way cool, the track is in a stadium , so spectators can see the whole race clearly, the races come one after the other, the finals are always good, and the drama among the different personalities add that human edge to already edgy competition. Pretty hard to beat. I am really a Pro cycling fan, but with all the drug scandals, it is losing it's attraction. Pro cyclist are amazing athletes still. I raced bicycles and MX, but not Speedway. I do love it
i muat have watches this video about 50 times ! for another good one look at joe screen.its a polish natch in the mid 90s.see the colour version and look at the celebrations at the end.btw is there any more great races anyone could recommend ?
