Beautiful ! I want to try building wooden model ships but I’m not sure if I have the talent . At first I saw your ship and thought amazing but the close up I just can’t find the words for the detail !
Build yourself a couple of smaller models first. Preferably with double hull. You need to learn from mistakes and have a few necessary tools. Good luck. Lots of fun.
U.S. Navy frigates with the way they were constructed (with almost a solid wall of oak beams for the hull planking) and their armament and speed; could be considered the first pocket battleships of the time. Beautiful lines.
pocket battleships were invented by Germany to circumvent the limitations of the Versailles Treaty. The American frigates had no limitations. In that sense, it's a nonsensical comparison
Oh and do a better ship's wheel. The laser cut one isn't so great. Better to use a good casting and finish it with a glaze/ wash for visual appeal. The Model Shipyard produces some fine quality models.
Well done and looks correct. So many get the hull lines wrong and you can't fix that no matter how detailed it is. Deck planks look too wide and the ship's boats could be improved (they look Vietnamish). Also the stern gallery is wrong. As well as the carronades, which are the carriage-mounts added in the 1920s. A few more things need to be improved as well but overall the model is well done. The improvements would be no problem for these guys. Would love to see the gun deck modeled instead of dummy barrels and a solid hull below the spar deck. Of course if you want a model of the Constitution as she appears today, this model is pretty much accurate. I would want her in the as-launched configuration or the 1812 configuration. Those are where the history is IMHO.
Great work! Working on mine and would like to know you technique for achieving the bolt looks on the green upper deck and the bottom brass and rivet look? ⚓
Салют) вопрос такой? зачем сделал имитацию гвоздей на медной обшивке! по штату не видно при таком масштабе) и подскажи как сделать парус на дутый) спс зарание

Wow...that looks amazing....if I was the size of a cockroach I wouldn't hesitate an instant to sail that thing around my neighbors swimming pool.
Beautifully done bespoke.
The copper work is so impressive, bravo!
Statue of liberty is made up of copper

You still run from line of battle ships; you just out gun everything less than line strength.
Gorgeous!

Great build! However, the US flag would be blowing to the starboard stern relative to the billowing of the sails, especially shown by the head sails.
Missed opportunity to play 'Hull's Victory' in the video, a song written to celebrate the USS Constitution and Captain Isaac Hull.
I built that same model 45 years ago as a teenager. Unfortunately not with your exquisite results!
I am still working on it after 18 months. Now down to the last leg- rigging - and it is a nightmare.
I hope the caranades are the same bore as the long guns! Nah, just kidding. Looks great.
how did you make the chain plates?

Beautiful ship and workmanship. Could you tell us from which company you bought this kit? It is a magnificent work of art. Thanks.
Scratch built. No kit.

Nice model....accuracy question...I'm not an expert but when did the Constitution carry brass cannon ?
The cannons are actually bronze. They are just a bit of artistic license.
@@izakhough284 Yeah I get it....they look nice. Question : Are those cannon from HiS models ?
