@@buckeyeburl0162 No Problem!

Simon has become one of my favorite mix engineers, and he always gives great advice to achieve a better mix! Great vid!
Facts, him and Adam Getgood are my go-to’s for mixing advice
Not only is this video super informative, I had no idea how complex this riff was (4 slightly different tracks!!!), which makes it even more impressive how the mixing decisions were made every step of the way to accomodate the dynamic elements of each. That's amazing.
LOOOOOVE that you guys did this. Extremely informative. Spreading good mixing information is just beneficial for everybody. We can be happier with our mixes, and so can the entire 3 people that listen to our music. Thanks for the info!
Jesus, this is an awesome video. I've never seen a video containing so much information on guitar tone dialing in such a small time, thank you thank you THANK YOU! Also great to hear plini's solo tracks :)
really love the tone
After listening to Impulse Voices, I had to come back to this video to hear how remarkable Simon is at mixing. I swear, Impulse Voices is the best mixed and mastered record I've ever had the pleasure of listening to ❤️
Simon, you’re amazing. Thank you!
Yessss! I’ve being waiting for this! Thank you 👏🏻🔥🙏🏻🤘🏻
thank you simon, you're the best
Really helpful, thanks guys. Loving the plug-in
This is a fantastic video. I love that a lot of the information is generally useful, it's not Archetype specific. Very cool!
This is awesome, thanks for sharing! I'd love to see more content like this.
Fantastic video with excellent explanations. Thanks for putting this together, Plini and Simon. Would love to see more of this in the future or even buy a recording / mixing course from you if you’re thinking in that direction.
This is fantastic. The best online tutorial on mixing guitar sounds I’ve come across. Awesome plugin and playing too. Can’t wait to catch you guys playing in Melbourne in October!
Simon is just insane, his mixes are absolutely stellar! Thanks for this video
I’m a simple men, when I see plini upload a video I click like
Love this, such awesome tips and tricks (and love to see that how tracks were single tracked and panned)
what a beautiful song
I just purchased this plugin a couple of weeks ago and literally stumbled onto this video today. So much good information here, explained so succinctly & clearly. Immediately saved for future reference! Thanks so much!
Absolute engineering brilliance! I'm in the process of acquiring the gear I need to record to my laptop, and this info is priceless. As a guitarist of 47 years, I knew that with today's technology it had to be possible to get a good direct sound, but these tones are unbelievable! I found you through a Rick Beato video, and it was the best thing to happen to me in a long time. I can't wait to get my laptop studio happening! Thank you for your incredible contribution to music and for the love and time it takes to make videos like this to help others. You are awesome!
Any update, bro? I’m using the Neural DSP plugin and loving it!
I'm happy to see that a lot of my ideas about your tones are made were correct. It's really cool to see you go through the process step by step and explain your reasoning
You guys sound sooooooo enthusiastic 😂
That flat deadpan narrative is just how many Australians talk, especially musicians who are more interested in letting their instrument convey emotion than their speaking voices.
No extra words... pls follow this man while making tutorials. Thumbs up
Hi Plini, I really need to say, your music (in special Handmade Cities) change my life, thanks for everything and cheers from Brazil.
12:50 is wild. Fading the rest of the band in and out really shows how well that (lovely) melody really sits in the mix. Love it. Y'alls live sound was also fantastic! Hope to see you again in Houston!
i've been waiting on this!
your music is amazing. thank you...
Very interesting. Thank you. Your doing good work brother
Well facilitated...Please do an example of Bass and Drums! Thanks for sharing!
Learned a lot! Thank you
As soon as I saw the pup at the keyboard, I knew this was a video worth watching 😀
fabulous video.
Great explanation, Simon!
SHUBHAM DASH thank you!
Thank you so much! I was wondering how that unique sound was made. I'm just getting into the magic of proper mixing/tone search, and so this is incredibly helpful. Thank you.
This is killer!
Thank you sirs!!! I have tried and failed many years to achieve a decent guitar sound, Tone untill i bought this plug in. And now the video showing how to dial these amazing tones!!! I thought I was gonna turn 50 not able to hear this sound coming out of my speakers!!! Thanks for the music and the inspiration!
Awesome tips!
The little dog foot at the beginning kills me
Awesome 😍
Where can I buy my own Simon? Hahaha! Maaaaaaan! You rock guys! Thanks for all the magic 🔥
Those are some great eq settings for modern metal tones. Sometimes I have used a bit of warm bass frequencies for modern metal tones and leave out some sub bass frequencies like shown here for guitar.
I learned more in this video from Simon than I did in a year of reading....
Favorite tone
Nice video! Thanks!!
Great video, great plug! Interesting to see the double tracking. Is every guitar part double tracked and panned to the max L & R?
i love this sound
I love you two together!! Its like drake and josh!
What a great video.
Hi guys love this upload, always interesting to see what someones doing behind the sound scape, I personally get lost in trying to figure tone and get left with sheesh was better an hour ago but cannot go back to where I started from coz that's totally forgotten ie; lost in translation........
How much time do you spend arriving at the perfect tone, do you find your just tweeting the already tones you have to keep in the zone and not get carried away off track so to speak........?
Amazing stuff! Just bought the plug-in from sale after giving it a try in the free trial. Too bad that the link for Simon's presets isn't working anymore.
Cheers!
I’ve never clicked on a CZcams video so fast in my life haha 🤣
About time
They living it
Love it
Liking this.
don't get me wrong, im here for the content, it's helpful but i also feel like you clickbaited me with that dog.
I could watch this for hours! I just wish there was more playing and more than just a couple of seconds of the tones.
Thanks :3
excellent vid.....plugin is great. Just wondering though...with that last lead sound...how does he get the doubled sound?I Is it in fact doubled lead lines?
Make a video on how to think for music making
NICE
Great "Guitar Tone Walkthrough"! Anyone knows the Brand of the Studio Chair Simon's sitting on/in?
Clicked a Plini video to watch Simon.
YESSSSSSSSSS
Pooo j’adorerai pouvoir écouter chaque piste indépendante 😋
Plini you must be pretty damn smart. Love the trick with the stereo delay effect. I need to buy a computer just so I can use this plugin.
the plugin is amazing bro but invest in a quality computer not a cheap one before you buy it
Abuv Entertainment what do you recommend? Also, would it be better to get a Pc or Mac?
@@AlexGifford5150 It's heresy for me to say this being a PC user who's owned gaming laptops worth upwards of $2k... however I recommend a macbook pro or an iMac. You want a lot of RAM so it may be worth it to pay for the extra memory. 16GB is plenty but if you're on a tight budget 8GB can do the job reasonably well I imagine. Macs will give you a more fluent user experience, more longevity and are generally more reliable for those engaged in creative endeavours compared to a windows PC.
Abuv Entertainment haha I know what you mean! I am pretty strictly a PC person because that’s what we use at work and they have their merits. From what I’ve heard Mac is great for music and video editing. I will spend the extra to get good Ram. Thank you for the suggestions! I have been out of the DAW game for like ten years and am just now coming around to it again. I know plini used axefx before the plugin... do you recommend a particular program either pro tools or logic for this application? I think I’ll stay away from laptops just to keep cost down and I already have a decent laptop for everything else. This would be a strictly music computer.
@@AlexGifford5150 I would definitely say grab iMac then... I use the 27" iMac and it is the most ridiculously fast computer I've ever used, mine or not. It powers on in a matter of seconds. I went for the extra processing power too and don't regret all the extra costs. If you can afford it get the CPU that supercharged to 4.2GHz and you'll never need a new computer for like a decade it can keep up with anything. I purchased the computer on the apple website and also bought the software bundle that comes with Logic Pro X. However I still use a free software called reaper for the plini plugin and guitar tracking because i am more familiar with it and it gets the job done. I would recommend logic because of its simplicity but reaper is awesome and you can download it free. Also try out some free IRs and amp sims from lepou plugins - clean tones are not as good as archetype but it sounds amazing for free.
9:03 I need a full version like this
2 Genius 🥰
What drum VST do you use? sounds incredible
Quick question with regards to selecting a stereo instance of the plug-in for the clean tones: I am struggling to find how to do this in reason, can I just switch the mode from mono to stereo in the plug-in UI itself?
This is the closest I've ever heard an amp sim come to that slightly overdriven AC30 sound. Amazing!
love this tones. why dont use gate effect ??? tell me
My body is ready
U put a dog in the video and its makes it interesting! Also i luv Salt + Charcoal!
Hi Plini and Simon, any reason why using normal oversampling rate instead of high?
Guys Crumpet is finally on the ~ W o r l d ~ S t a g e : - )
I assume on the main rhythm track for the cleaner “strat tone” Plini has the pickup selector in the middle position for that sound?
I'm still asking that
How to get studio tones:
Get yourself a good doggo
Is that main ‘heavy’ amp based off the PRS MT15?
Is that a Havanese? I have one too.
What exactly is guitar "presence" anyway? What does it do?
Finally I have something in common with you guys: a cute dog
I wish I knew what any of this meant.
Okay, that's a slight overstatement; if anything, I understand a small amount of it which makes it more frustrating that I have a vaaaaaague idea of what is going on, but it's still totally over my head. If I didn't understand it at all I probably wouldn't care, but as I do a tiny bit it just makes me realise I know nothing, hahaaaa!
IveGotAMatch It happened a lot to me a few years ago when I discovered adam neely haha
I don't even play an instrument but I'm here
I am fairly new to Plini, so can anyone tell me the name of the song?
Or was it made just for this video?
Salt and charcoal. One of many great songs by Plini.
@@dmcfarlin94 Thank you so much! Truly a great song.
For anyone who has the Plini Archetype, how CPU intensive is it?
I'm pretty sure Simon's dog did all the job
BASS PLAYER!!!!
Thanks! Came to post this.
Like many others,, clicked for the tunes, stayed for the pooch..🤘
please the configuration in the amplifire

cute dog!
Haha... nearly put my back out lunging for my 'good' headphones :D
Doggo required!
This dog would sell you anything :3
