I've salvaged an old Proliant DL380p Gen8 with ILO4. The temperature sensors and power meters are really important for me as this server does a lot of stuff around my home, from crypto currency mining to providing cloud storage, a media center, neural network training. ILO was crucial in dialing in the absolute best performance per watt. Despite being under at least 50% load 24/7 mostly from the crypto mining ILO looks after my server and it always runs very cool and quiet. It's got through 2 hot summers so far.

That is very cool! I'll be sure to share it with the team.

I would like to be able to configure the raid arrays for esx servers. Even pushing firmware updates would be excellent

    Hi
Go good things . Some good memory's and familiars with the looks. And that of show and screens.
Also still high rate with white and colors and with contents.

Is an additional license required to use the "RDP" feature and additional media mounting options? Everyone always talks about how these things are great as if they work OOB, but nobody mentions licenses. So - how about that?
Reason I ask is because I know from some platforms that I hit the "you don't have the licence" wall multiple times. It would be useful to, at least, mention license requirements.

The most interesting features to me (A DC Tech) are the Intelligent Provisioning from the iLO, as well as the firmware repository. IP from iLO makes things so much easier when there's a no POST/no-boot situation to better understand where the hold-up is and the events that may have led to it. SID lights can only tell you so much.

It's nice so we can manage the system with iLO

sadly the Intelligent Provisioning is really dumb: when using an FTP server as source it tells me always I have to select a directory when I select the *.iso file.... but I can't select a directory..

Looks great but the most settings are not new. I want to set raid controller configurations and extend raid arrays for ESX Servers. This would be a nice feature for the future...

Hi, I'm trying to install Linux rhel from iso file using "Virtual drives" remotely through a VPN connection... but when I look for my iso file I see it with a size much smaller than its real size, it seems that the file is to big to be managed through this remote VPN connection. Do you know about this problem??

We don't do support on CZcams- if you have support, contact HPE Support. If you don't, you can ask on our community site at community.hpe.com/

Hardware accelerated remote support/maintenance is great, with automation that would be idea for massive updates/maintenance of computers in an organization even in different parts of the World. This should be in every motherboard or in expansion/daughter card, it's really useful and vital sometimes, saves time and have to travel, to the computer. I'd be ideal to use H.265 streaming and for screenshots Webp lossless for high bandwidth or lossy for low bandwidth, why is this just for Proliant and not for every PC?
But why :NET and Java? you don't need those, you could use native apps or HTML5, way better
