If you're genuinely asking whether the iPhone X is worth 999$, You're already missing the point.
iPhones have never fallen into the box of "worth it" or "not worth it". They give a different experience than Android phones altogether. Android fanboys generally don't like iPhones because they look at them through the viewpoint of someone who's expecting an Android, and when they don't get it, they slam it on every comment section the internet has to offer.
It's kinda like slamming an espresso maker for not making a good macchiato.
You do know that you could say EXACTLY the same about Apple users, right? It would just as accurate.

If anything, android users are much more open-minded than Apple users, as android users typically switch between many brands and try different versions of the OS. Furthermore, the android OS is by its very nature much more open and inviting than Apple, so it's not surprising that the users who prefer that are more open themselves. The Apple OS is incredibly closed, and it doesn't really allow anything thats 3rd party to enter its space, while android welcomes it.

yes iOS offers a completely different package, but at the end of the day you can deduce that package into distinct features and pros and cons, then evaluate them based on your usage/needs to decide if it is "worth it". You're basically saying any device running iOS has a special feature of Cost More Does Less™ and thats the way of life. a smartphone is a smartphone, i want one that is fast, has a nice big screen, good battery life and i love being able to make everything custom. and i DO LIKE MONEY ASWELL so i dont waste it if i dont have to

Honestly I think they omitted Touch ID because they wanted to get the consumer used to Face ID. Given the choice to use either, many would still choose Touch ID and I’m assuming they didn’t want that

Alex Lagoudakis It is. It says 720HDR and the brightness automatically gets cranked all the way up. Google rolled out support for it entirely by software using a custom decoder stack.

I have an iPhone X and it’s incredible, there is no way to say how incredible it is, Face ID is so useful, in ways I never would have ever guessed. Swiping between apps is incredible, simple and easy, the screen and camera are incredible, many phones such as the pixel 2 etc have some amazing features but severely lack in other areas, the iPhone X is basically top of the range in every category, there isn’t any way which is lacking

It's a great phone and it might have been worth the $1000 if they included the fast charger tgthr with the phone. And that glass panel replacement charge is just too much. Otherwise it's one of the best.
Andro Style Face ID is completely different. Try using your galaxy’s iris scanner in the dark. Just doesn’t work. The only think that could fool I️t would be an identical twin, and even then, only 50% of identical twins can actually fool I️t.

Why are people so obsessed with iPhones anyway, just because it has an apple branding on it doesn't mean it's worth $1000, there are lots of Android phones that have wireless charging, quick charging, dual cameras, bezel-less high resolution screens, big batteries and attractive designs.

Samsung galaxy s8: $700-750
OnePlus 5t: $570-600
LG v30: $700-800
Lg g6: $400-500
