- For this episode I tried out my Lola Nora's Maja Blanca recipe. It's a coconut pudding type of dessert that's a staple in Filipino fiestas and even holidays. I love to order this dessert before but now you can order from me, joke lang! 🤣

It's meaningful that the apo, honors her lola's memory by reviving her grandmother's dishes . I learned some cooking tips from my grandmother too. I brought with me Nora Daza's cooking book when I emmigrated to the US. I remember Nora Daza also had her own filipino restaurant in Paris called ' Our Islands the Philippines' She hired and employed french people to work with a Filipino chef/ entrepreneur. How cool is that!
Magaling magluto. Magaling din mag-ship ng mga tao. Sana oils cupid. Pano kaya kapag kaibigan mo, minatch rin yong asawa mo mareng Isabelle? Walang magpo-post ha HAHAAMHAHAHAHAGA
What goes around comes around. Karma is a bitch
PERFECT CUPID HAHAHAHAHA SARAP UPAKAN.
My mom used Rice flour or “galapong”. But since rice flour is accessible everywhere here in the states. I’ll use it too with your Lola’s recipe. Thanks for sharing. Watching from NY🇺🇸
Perfect! Wanna try this, Isabelle. Thanks for sharing your lola's recipe.
Love the authenticity of it all. And also kudos to not editing out the mess and bloopers. It makes us feel we could do it from scratch too.
Ang galing naman, syempre magaling talaga yan imaginine mo shipping a married guy to your friend? Hope it will not happen to you! And proud kapa sa bff mong kabit ha!
Hello Belle, after watching you cook with your Tita Nina I am already hooked and I am looking forward to your next vlog. You know I grew up watching your Lola’s cooking show and that inspire me to cook and tried to replicate a few of her recipes at a very young age. And one tip that I learned from her and up until now I still follow is “Huwag mag-aksaya Ng ingredients”. She really don’t waste a drop of tomato sauce and scrape it off from its container and that it how I admire her. Anyway, this is a very creative concept to revive her recipes through your channel. Keep it up! 👍😍
Please make more episodes like this. Mas masarap panoorin ang ganitong content. And uso. Thank you Ms. Belle Daza for sharing your talent. 😊
I super love this cooking series of yours Ms. Belle! 😊
Gusto ko ding maging KABIT. Tapos lahat ng friends suportado HAHAHAA.
Girl kamusta na si dr ging pati anak niya? Balita ko naging cupid ka daw sa dating niyang asawa? Haha what goes around comes around🤷🏻♀️
I still do have Nora's cookbook that I bought in 1996 when I got married and I brought it to NZ. In those time when there was no internet it was my bible in the kitchen. Up to this day I still use it. One of my fave recipe is the humba.
nakakasusyal yung Massage the Niyog Ms.Belle love it ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😂
Will definitely try this out!!! ☺️
one of my favorite ❤❤❤❤
i love your concept! young meets the not-so-young (that would be my generation, i was able to watch your Lola’s show on TV when i was young and my mom had her cookbook), congratulations there!
A for effort Isabelle.. im sure your lola is very proud of you 👍❤🤘
Hi Isabelle that’s one of my favorite desserts😋😋😋😍❤️
It's amazing how my mom has this cookbook and she left it with me when she started working in the states. Decades later and when I finally was able to have my paperwork approved for residency, she couldn't believe that I saved and brought this cookbook with me, after all these years.
This is how my mother cooks Maja Blanca when i was young. No evap nor condensed milk. Nothing beats fresh ingredients. 🤤
Great Job, belle!
Wow definitely try this

Best cupid ka pala of Liz Uy and Raymond Racaza who was then married to Dr. Geraldine who in turn was your friend. Kaloka.

Where can I get the new edition cookbook as shown in the video? I can only find the ebook or expensive used older editions. I think this would be great in the kitchen

Pinipig Na Kalamay or Kalamay Na Pinipig Its Napapanahon...Pipigan Starts On October sa Antipol...Handa namin tuwing Undas ay Bibingkang Pinipig na Bagong Bayo.
Hello Miss Belle, available po ba sa national bookstore yung recipe book? Thank you po
Magaling ka pala magluto. Sana na apply yan mo sa lahat ng bagay ang tamang timpla.
We used giniling rice instead of cornstarch
I remember Mr. DAZA (where is he now?) who used to cook infront of camera and me copying what he does with my toy kitchen utilities (small pots of clay) and also talking with nobody (lol)
The DAZA'S really are a cook! The legend
Hi Isabel. This is a wonderful recipe and that you are using fresh coconut. I just have a question, the yield of the coconut really depends on how juicy or how you squeeze it. So what’s the estimated yield of the coconut milk after extraction. Thanks.
😩😭 someone borrowed our ‘Let’s cook with Nora’ cookbook and never retuned it! It’s hard to find in the US ☹️
More cooking vids please

You know what's good what Maja Blanca? Additional heavy cream/milk for extra creaminess and then loads of Key Lime Rind/Dalayap Rind, and voila, it now tastes like a coconutty key lime pudding!
