They made Kristen McMenamy walk in those notorious Vivienne Westwood platform shoes that Naomi Campbell fell. Lol. Andreas Kronthaler is one shady man, since Kristen fell pretty bad in her last couple shows for Jean Paul Gaultier and Valentino. On a side note, there is no model that embodies the emblematic British house of Westwood more than Kristen. In the 80s, she was a Celtic fiery goddess with her natural red mane and fair skin complexion, embodying the Northern British look. In the 90s, she reinvented her look with a black bob cut that made her look so alternative and punk with her androgynous face, epitomizing the 90s grunge movement scene we've seen though English rock music. And now, in the new millennium, she transformed into this silver queen with her White Witch of Narnia wintry looks, embodying the Gothic aesthetics of Medieval Britain. Such a chameleon she is.

always loved VW and found this to look to be like the 2nd cousin to Rick Owens in a lot of ways! Enjoyed it but have liked the prior seasons when VW was alive to be more likable for me? Am I crazy?
You're not crazy. I thought Rick Owen's too. I was having trouble seeing the Westwood in this collection. There are elements I like, but it feels unfinished and disjointed. I appreciate the ideas, but the execution makes me question the vision.
I not sure if I like the collection. I do see "Kronthaler " creativity/inspiration/references (with Vivienne on mind} & ,at the end it is a matter of taste/choice.
What I question is the result.
It lack finesse /elegance & some fabrics/garments just look cheap/vulgar/banal/clumsy. Nevertheless some of the garments - not to many - are good especially the dresses.
I feel like watching the eternal student continuously experimenting- with controversy/shocking tactics- but never becoming a master.
I don't care who designs it, men walking around in diapers is always gonna be a no...I hope it doesn't get worse.

Endlessly curious and interesting and when you stop judging, there are some really beautiful clothes here. Certainly not for everyone but neither is anyone else. The eccentricity and complexity is so confidently produced it is compelling. IMO of course.

Well, they re not that bad at all, reconstructing the new identity and modeling of Vivienne Westwood loyal Piratism.
I'm pretty sure a lot of young people would want to wear these type of clothes. I can imagine a teenager in one of the dresses with proper styling and will not look cheugy at all.
Unfortunately not in LA . The LA Homeless mentally ill would definitely buy this whole collection. They have amazing Creative Director talent. But I doubt if fashion would hire them. But they should! LA kids copy and trend it's really sad. Maybe NYC and Paris Kids
as a teenager i would not wear any of these items except for that one orange dressing but even then the styling is horrendous, none of the prices are stand alone seeing as they are horribly constructed and also they would never be able to hold up in an actual market or be put into production .

This is a label not familiar by most Americans, yet still amazing after Vivienne's depart from our world. I'm a long time lover and support of Westwood, otherwise I won't be here. But the music.....is it the side effect from COVID?

These ridiculous costume shows are boring. I usually don't make it to the 5 minute mark. A second grader could match the creativity.
Some outfits are great, but away from that, most of them dont feel like vivienne westwold at all. The designs are interesting, but the vibe of the show and some outfits feel like they got inspired by some other brands and im really not a fan of that, where did the original rock, punk, concept of vw go? I can only see it in like 10outfits and not more, also the band isnt bad, but i dont think that it was necessary to the show. Felt kinda distracting to me.
Kinda nasty the hate Sam Smith is getting for existing in their body and embracing it. This show screams Andreas Kronthaler and if you haven't been paying attention, this has been happening for a long time at the brand, for as long as Kronthaler and Westwood knew each other.
I think this is a good show, it embodies the Westwood brand, and while there are some looks I don't like, there are other looks that are magnificent. Judgement is one hell of a light, it blinds you before you can ever stop and admire.

I’m really interested to know how these platform boots get to the market or if they actually do. They wouldn’t pass the most basic consumer product laws. Also if one of these models fell and injured themselves the employer could be sued for creating an unsafe workplace. Love the Homeless People of LA esthetic. And inspiration We have some amazing mentally ill homeless people who dress like this for real . And they are on Melrose and DTLA wearing these exact looks.
