Remember folks if you want to defer the August 2024 Level 1 exam to November 2024 then you will have to fill the deferral form as soon as the window for it opens, the registration for Nov 2024 exam closes on 7th August 2024. So you have to defer your exam and register for Nov 2024 Level 1 exam between 1st August - 7th August.

You’ll get a mail confirming the cancelling of your exam and options to register further. Check that.
Alternatively you can even log in and just try to register for ab exam and towards the final checkout you’ll see the waiver

Should not be allowed as one deferral in one attempt is the rule!
However since it’s an emergency I would recommend you mail the institute and ask if you can try doing in via emergency deferral (make sure you specify properly that you have deferred the same attempt before)

You’ll have to wait till the august 2025 registration opens to register. They don’t ask you which cycle you want to defer to, they will just cancel your exam.
Keep that mail with you if possible till you register for the August 2025 exam

Di just wanted to ask you a ques I m thinking to register for my level 3 in Feb attempt 2025 and aggressively searching for jobs so am I taking the right decision bcoz if I don’t pay for level 3 fees by 9th July I will have to pay standard fees for level 3
@@nobitatom5470 I would say if you don’t have a job yet and are planning to give L3 in Feb 2025 then you’d much rather if possible finish CFA and find a job.
Because see it will take you sometime to find a job and at least 1-2 months to learn the new job and form a routine so you won’t be able to start studying before September/October and then it would be festive season also.
So since you already are not working it’s just best to finish L3 then ache se look for a job.

No…the payment will only cancel your current exam. Then you go and register using the coupon given in your mail
Hi Tanishka. I had purchased deferral for may 2024 exams and received the voucher code. Today, (8th August) when I tried registering for May 2025 exams with the voucher but it showed that the voucher is not valid for items in my cart. Do you know why this must have happened? I thought the deferral was valid for 12 months.

Try registering as Is and maybe towards the checkout page you’ll see the voucher being applied on its own.

Usually it takes 30 days for the invoice method to go through as per what I know but if you’ve got the message from the bank then you can check in your mail if the current exam has been cancelled & you can also mail the institute (add your institute number and check them)

Yes it might because you’ll technically not be graduating and starting again.
I would highly recommend you drop a mail to the institute and explain your situation in detail..,See if they can consider and then take your decision.

P.s. if it was an emergency deferral you may not be able to get another emergency deferral

It might not available from 12 AM as the institute works on EST basis and usually uploads things in the morning (EST again)

Hi, I have CFA level 2 in August. And I am still left with Ci, ai, fsa, quants, pm, eco. I don't think, I would be able to complete it. Should I defer it to November. But I read on website that usually deffer students aren't able to pass the exam. Please help!

That statement on the website means that:-
1. When people defer they think they have more time and don’t study that hard hence something don’t end up passing
2. If you didn’t finish it in the last few months why will you do it now and hence many people don’t pass
Just because you defer doesn’t meant you’ll fail…you know your reasons and take a decision and act proactively so it won’t be a problem.

hey tanishka i am planning to defer my exam but CFA institution claims that people who have deferred the exam have scored below average marks.... is there anyone who know who has deferred the level 1 exam and still was able to clear it?

They say that because many people who defer tend to do it out of anxiety without realising that they will feel equally under prepared later on as well.
Also they start thinking we have time and slower their study place…Which can lead to poor performance eventually.
So that’s like a caution that don’t just defer thinking more time will buy you better results. And only do so if you really feel the need

Mam, Can you give me some advice for FIXED INCOME in level 1 becoz there are so many concept and even I am able to understand that but didn't able to solve questions well. So, it's demotivating me.
And one more thing, Manish ramuka sir is not solving the type of questions are in CFA ecosystem. He is just providing them in quiz. He cover full reading just one kind of question. And as I start doing it myself in quiz. I feel like blank 🙁🫤..

Don’t worry just keep solving and keep seeing what went wrong and did you understand that.
Making mistakes during practise is okay as long as you are learning from it and won’t repeat it in the exam.
No teacher really solved questions in class so instead you have to practise the institute questions and go to them with doubts.

You still have more than a month don’t give up…Try to see what’s the smarter way out. Even if you switch to schweser the lectures will be long (if only the reading is troubling you then just watch the lectures and read schweser).
If you feel no you need to change the videos as well then maybe try another teacher who can provide you with those remaining 5 topics.
Only towards the end of the month if you’re really not able to have found a path then defer
