I'm going to buy the Hobie Oasis, but I wanted to ask when it is set up for solo fishing, is it balanced? Does it sit low in the back and high in the front, or is it balanced? I just want to make sure it is as comfortable solo as it is tandem. Please give me your input. Thank you in advance.

If used solo the Mirage Oasis will not be as balanced as if used tandem. With the seat design in this kayak it does not allow for a balanced solo seating position. Some owners will place gear or coolers in the front seat location to assist with balancing the kayak while being operated solo.

Thank you! Do you recommend a Hobie tandem that does adjust for a more balanced ride when solo? I like the mirage drive system, and want to get a Hobie. Any advice is most appreciated.

@@alanzookerman4559 the only Hobie with the mirage system in it that will adjust the seating to balance the solo kayaker is the 17T which is the biggest of their fleet. BUT the single person seat option is centered. You also can have the two tandem kayakers face one another or the same direction in the 17T.
