    oh snap!!! first of all, thank you for this very helpful video. I have some questions. My interview is on 3/15 and I have spent the whole day putting a folder together to organize all my paperwork and documents. I filed online, and before submitting my application last November, I absolutely reviewed everything to make sure I made no mistakes. After answering the initial questions, the system automatically chose "You are at least 18 years old and X have been a lawful permanent resident of the united states for at least 5 years". This is true, and I did obtain my green card through marriage to my husband, who is an American citizen. I printed out my N400 application today, and as I am going through it, I realized the following: 1. on the form N400, Part 6. Information about your parents, there's a disclaimer that says if neither f your parents is a united states citizen, then skip this part and go to part 7. Well, I can't remember what questions the online form asked me, but I am seeing here that some questions in that section were answered by me with an X for - were your parents married before your 18th birthday? is your mother a us citizen? is your father a US citizen?. I answered NO for all, and while my response is accurate, I wonder why they ask those questions online if they don't apply to me. I just hope this is not an issue. Again, it was the online application that asked me those questions. 2. My husband and I have only been married to each other. We have no previous marriages. Why does the paper form show ZERO (0) to the question "how many times has your current spouse been married? - 3. Under the ABOUT YOU section, 16. Were you ever a worker, volunteer, or soldier, or did you otherwise EVER serve in any of the following. B says Prison Camp. I did not answer YES or NO.. It's blank. This is really freaking me out because I believe the printed version of the N400 application is not an accurate reflection of what the system asks online... unless I simply made these mistakes and didn't realize it. I am so so nervous now... 4. I was stopped by a police officer in 2022 for speeding. I was given a ticket and I paid for it. I can't find the proof of payment and I answered NO to the question about being arrested, cited or detained by any law enforcement officer. Am I understanding correctly from the video that I should have answered YES? I was never cited to go to court. I was simply given a ticket and I paid for it online. PLEASE HELP!!! and I am so sorry I am bombarding you with these many questions. Thank you so much in advance!!!!!!!

    • @uscitizenshipforimmigrants
      @uscitizenshipforimmigrants  Před 2 měsíci +2

      @user-ym8wz3ug6c Hi! You're doing great in organizing all your necessary docs! It's also good that you’ve printed a copy of your application to correct some oversight. While the online form is automated, it isn't perfect. Regarding your first question, all the information you've submitted has already been stored digitally. Therefore, as long as you believe that all your answers are true and accurate, there's no need to worry; it isn't a cause for concern. As for part 10, Q-#8, we're unsure why there's a "0" next to it, but this is not something for you to worry about either. However, we suggest that you discuss this with the officer during your interview for clarification, to ensure it won't cause any problems in the future. We suggest that you do the same with regards to part 12 Q-#16, since there should have been an answer (yes/no) to that question. You can get an idea from this video, as well as our other simulated interview videos, on how to request your interviewing officer to correct errors like this. Good luck on your upcoming interview! 🙏

      @pattyl.3290 Citizenship interviews differ from one applicant to another therefore it is important to remember that USCIS officers may ask one applicant several questions, or may only ask a few questions to another applicant. Please take note that the officers typically draw interview questions directly from "your responses" on your application form N-400. You may not be asked all of these questions, but it is important for every applicant to be well-prepared "how to answer" if the officer will directly ask these questions. Our simulated interview videos are all intended "to help applicants familiarize with the questions" so they can successfully pass their naturalization interviews. Hope that helps.

      @uscitizenshipforimmigrants  Před 2 měsíci +7

      @amandafini7279 That is true! Many applicants who studied with us and have successfully passed their interviews told us the same. @uscitizenshipforimmigrants  Před 2 měsíci

      @seemasohail4823 Vocabulary definitions "may" or "may not be asked" during a citizenship interview. Most of our sources have different experiences, so it all depends on the officer who interviews the applicant. While our videos are based on applicants' real experiences, we make simulated interviews where vocabulary definitions are asked, or are not asked (such as in this interview). Hope that explanation helps.

      @lauralamonica108 Before answering your question, could you please specify where did you go on your trip six years ago? Was it outside of the US?

      @lauralamonica108 If you only stayed in the US since you came back from France in 2018 (and you are still married to a US citizen) then YES, you can definitely apply for US citizenship!

      @uscitizenshipforimmigrants You're still legally married then. And "if" you got your green-card through marriage, you should probably speak with a family law attorney if you're wondering that your separation could affect your application for citizenship.
