blue is actually a rerecorded version of an unreleased song of hers called true blue, probably the most popular unrealeased song, and for ages fans have wanted her to release it and its finally hereee. when i tell you i was SHOCKED that she released it!!

Billie Eilish ALWAYS left me speechless (like Beyoncé), she's unique. I can speak for a decade about this album and how big it deserve to be. There's no filler, no skips, every single song can be a single and be so rich of creativity. She's an ARTIST WITH AN A.

The production is so cinematic. It's like The Umbrellas of Cherbourg meets Blue Monday, which is a combination I never knew I needed.

IM SO OBSESSED WITH THIS ALBUM. Billie and Finneas are such musical geniuses. the production is just beautiful and the lyrics. Billies vocal shine so much in this album in so many different ways she is such a talented vocalist. I can’t explain it in the perfect way but This album is so different from everything but so perfect
billie has always pushed the boundaries of music and started of as more of an indie artist before breaking into the pop scene. this album shows she’s still pushing those boundaries and I LOVEEEE IT she is doing things other artists won’t it’s great

WOOOOO more Billie! I am... still figuring out how I feel about this tiny little album. But videos like this one, unpacking different angles and nuances, really helps! Still chewing. The Diner and Blue were probably my favorites, mostly because a lot of the others changed so much and felt like multiple songs melded together and I usually liked one half and not the other? Also no real concert bangers. (And I'm leaving off doing my usual song beg. But just this once! :D)

I decided that I was gonna go out on a walk in the middle of the night while listening to this album, and let me tell you that that was the perfect way to listen to this album for the first time for me, it was almost euphoric in a way that I can’t even describe. And the thing is that I thought that I wouldn’t like this album as much as When we all fall asleep, where do we go? and Happier than ever, but that was the biggest no. I absolutely love this album.

i fucking love this album and your reaction was tight. just a couple points i felt moved to remark on: finneas has said a few times that he wants billie's vocals to be the focus. younger billie had a very soft voice so that meant kinda keeping a void in the frequencies of his production to give her a hole to fill. her voice has become much more full (chest voice or whatever, i'm not a singer) so he now gets to fill in some of the parts he previously left out. and then i just want to share that the song "blue" is a very old song of theirs. czcams.com/video/ZtasR0yPHYQ/video.html i think you might enjoy 14 yr old billie performing this one before she became "billie eilish" and was still touring with a live band. cheers!
