I’ve survived two lots of cancer ( colon and cervical) but I was twice Emily’s age when I was first diagnosed. I watch this feeling so angry that she is gone but in her honour, am going to remember every day how blessed I am to still be here. What an extraordinary coupe they were.

To look at Emily here you would never have known how ill she was or what she and Aisha were facing together. I want to always remember to try to be kind because it makes a difference. I had been with my partner for 20 years and we got got married the day before I went into major surgery to remove a large malignant tumor attached to my stomach. Love is beautiful.
