I liked him more back then. Of course I knew the backstory before watching this, but i just feel like he is too much of a softie nowadays. His current storyline is so boring and he has become so whiny. I preferred tough Aaron.
He was a nasty piece of work, always has been. The bitch of it is, is how people made (and still make) excuses for his behavior. Yes, he was raped by his dad and we can all agree that messed him up, but the fact remains he made the choice to be violent, he made the choice to be a thief and liar and much worse. Understanding the reason doesn't negate his choice of actions and his responsibility for them, something he still doesn't do in 2021. That's the part I've always found frustrating.

Aaron has something in common with Will Horton from Days of our Lives . He would rather take his chances in a court room than come out publicly as gay . they both get outed in basically the same way . Except Will didn't actually commit the crime .
