Well... the rubber cover on the shifter might need to be replaced...
I have a Mercedes atego 1828 model. The gear stick works on oil and that causes me a lot of malfunctions.

Yer their automatic transmissions are worse and their new terrorize ( lock you out and turn lights on at end of shift etc ) tech are even worse
